Which lodge/guide service did you use? What time of year did you go? Any other info appreciated TIA

Going in two weeks on a duck/dove/perdiz combo. Going with Ramsey Russell/Getducks outfitter. Will fill you in.

Hope to one day. My dad went several times in the 80s and early 90s. They would hunt ducks, geese, doves, pigeons and some rabbit/hair they got there.
I would think you'd be late to go this July?
ETA: july is their winter from what I recall. That's when he went.

Ive been in July with Los Chanares outfitters. 5 star accomodations. Our group of 9 hit a little over 25k birds in 2.5 days. Good times.

Ramsey Russell has been a good friend for a while. Have been with get ducks three times down there twice for ducks once for doves.
Wing shooting down there is something everyone that hunts should do once it's amazing. Bring or rent a 20 ga or 28 ga shooting gloves and a shoulder pad is a must. You will shoot over a case of shells a day. Shells is the most expensive part of the trip but damn it's fun!

They round up all the easy ones to get and disperse them to the villages. The rest they leave. Theres a lot of eagles that will hang close and eat the dead birds. The doves are a pest in that area. They will deveatate crops.

H&H Outfitters thru Trek Safari. I have been three times, and I will tell you no story or tv show can prepare you for the first wave 100+ dove come over. The first time I stood with gun in hand and mouth wide open in amazement. We did August and the weather is great. Flew into Córdoba,

Or you can be responsible and only shoot a reasonable number to keep the sport sustainable. Just as fun.

I have been twice. Went with paco reistra both times. Nice place but looking on Internet Los chaneras looks to be the best place to go. I couldn't choose cause it was company trips. Anyway, we got 50 boxes to go with our trip of three full days. You pay extra after 50. Shooting conservative you will shoot over 80 boxes. A pussy pad is a must and rent the 20 guage. Man was it a blast especially if you go with a crew who likes to have fun. We would drink a couple beers, have a couple shootouts between everyone. ( each person shoots 10 shots one at a time with everyone watching, whoever kills the most is the winner). When we went it was their summertime, and the coral snakes were out. Couldn't really go in the field to recover birds because of them, but during winter time they pick them up and give to the community for food. Also, parakeets are a trophy bird that everyone try's to get. I killed one my last trip. We also killed one huge hare. The bird boys go crazy over those hares demanding you shoot them so they can eat them lol. Also, their white wings are about the size of our turtle doves. Real small. I have some videos on youtube of our trip. Look up islandcat00 as the user name. I don't know how to link it on here.
