Question for those born in 1995-1997(cusp of Millennials and Gen Z).

Do you associate your childhood more closely with Millennial things like Blockbuster, Jimmy neutron, Recess, The Weekenders, Invader zim, Gundam wing, Yu gi oh, PS1, PS2, Pokemon Gens 1-3, Gorillaz, Discman, Malcolm in the middle, Cyberchase, Tamagotchi, Osmosis Jones, Kim Possible, playing outside, remembering 9/11, and having crushes on Avril lavigne, Britney spears, Jenny wakeman, and the Dark magician girl?

Or Gen Z things like streaming movies on Netflix, CN Real, Hannah Montana, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, Bakugan, The Dark knight, Pokemon Gens 4-6, Justin Bieber, Twilight, Chowder, Marvelous misadventures of Flapjack, Adventure Time, Silly bandz, not playing outside, not remembering 9/11, and having crushes on Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus?

Im 98 but im able to identify with almost everything you listed in both generations. I think these are all things that are more suited for a generation z person than a millenial. I would think generation z starts in the early 90s where as most millenials are mainly the 80s to first year or two of the 90s.

Currently trying to bone a chick born in 95. This bitch mainly texts through snapchat and sends me selfies all day. Not sure which category that falls into.

You should probably move that age range down a decade.

I am an 86 baby and I have ZERO millennial traits.

If you associate with, or "identify", as anything you are by definition a millenial.

Why do people have to "identify with" or "associate with" anything? Are labels really that important or are they just the jargon of identity politics?

Having been born in 1990 I can safely say these are the kids fricking things up and calling everything 'lit'. Also stop calling other white people the n word. That shite sounds stupid.

I was born in 1987.

Of your list that I associate with would be:

Blockbuster
PS1
PS2
9/11
Playing outside
& Remember the Brittany ooh baby baby

Besides that I was in sports, collected cards, rode bikes around town, had a good amount of spare money to buy a soda, and having friends over playing war in the backyard or jumping on a trampoline.

I was born in '91. I like to think I'm my own person and don't really have to follow any sort of society perceptions because of my age. So does that make me a baby boomer?

I was born in '97, and I associate with most of what you have listed under Generation Z, however, I remember 9/11 and also associated with shows like Kim Possible,Cyberchase, Jimmy Neutron, and Recess.

I guess you could say that I've associated with a little bit of both generations.

This is dumb. I was born in 86 and am technically a Millennial. If you grew up in the time of walkmen and no internet, you are Gen X in my opinion.
