Wow, its almost as if one of the teams playing last night was from another country on that country's own channel.

Yes, and quite entertaining.

I hope NBA fans never figure out how much better the NHL is or they'll ruin that too.

In an effort to accomplish that goal, you tell them exactly what you don't want them to know.

Who are they?
Some MSB sect that said the NBA is the 5th most popular sport in America and according to some phony poll NASCAR is more popular

There was a legit poll taken back in '14 by the Harris group and the NBA was 4th with regard to a person's favorite sport. NFL (35%), MLB(14%), NCAA football(11%), NASCAR (7%), NBA(6%), NHL(5%)....
But they weren't asking which sports do you follow like, just which one is your favorite, which imo hurts the NBA more than others.

A sport's popularity varies greatly based on demographics. More people who live in rural areas on the East coast say they're fans of the NFL than the general U.S. population. Those with an annual household income of more than $100,000 are more likely to be baseball fans, while African Americans are less likely to enjoy the sport, the poll reveals.
More southerners call college football their favorite sport, while those with a high school education or less tend to gravitate to auto racing.

That 2000 person poll is the only evidence you will find.
