Where is everyone going this weekend? Tips to find some clean water in the shell beach/hopedale area?

I'm going to Delacroix. I've been told Black bay is out because of the high river and wind direction so i'll be trying to find clean water on the inside and redfish. if i get a wild hair i'll make the trip to MRGO rocks. should be clean there which is easier to get to from hopedale.

Not exactly this weekend, but I will be taking the family to Grand Isle Monday. Hoping the water clears up quickly from all of this wind. Looking forward to better conditions than we have had in a while if the weatherman is correct for next week.

The MRGO will prob be dirty as shite. Good luck with that. You are better staying inside like others alluded and fish the ponds in the biloxi marsh.

You don't think with the wind it will be rough to get out there?

I noticed this, but I am wondering if the water will have cleaned up by then. wind will be blowing hard until at least Sunday and Monday will still be a pretty stiff breeze if the weather is correct. But I have seen the water clear up down there in a matter of hours before, so I am hopeful.

Delacroix was not good today. No one did much. Came home with 2 trout. Everyone I talked to pretty much did the same.

Lake Ponchatrain, little concerned with all the high rivers pouring into the lake.

I was supposed to go to Grand Isle Thursday and fish through Monday, but 16 kts winds with gusts to 20 is a bit much for me. And the wind doesn't slack off until Tuesday.

I'm staying home and watching baseball.

Did pretty decent in cocodrie today. Just two of us. Didn't get here till around 11am. Headed out around 1. Took a good beating and got soaked running through the bay, but we found clean water and ended up with 22 trout. Live shrimp under a cork.

Just passed through Bay Towne. Wind is whipping right now.

I think I'll sleep in and watch some Tiger Baseball. Let me know how you do.

I'm headed south this morning. I'll probably go to Hopedale so I can hide in the BM if the winds get too bad. I'll report back.
