I like Golic, but no. He would be insufferable with all of his Notre Dame talk.

You would be 24 Bud Heavy's in by that time a speaking gibberish. But your picks segment would be a great against the grain bellwether. It would be like the Rosetta Stone of gambling.

He talked up ND because his son was on the team. What do you expect from a proud dad?

I can guarantee Golic feels 100 percent betrayed by Greenburg. No doubt.

On a personal level, I can see that. But, on a professional level, it's a business.

I imagine the wives are throwing daggers at each other.

t's crazy that garbage show went on for 19 years.
the show wasn't always garbage. It was pretty good or a few years when they rarely talked about stuff other than sports. The last many years they talk about all kinds of stupid stuff.

Screw the haters. I've listened to this show dam near every morning for nearly 15 years. I for one, will hate to see it end but if it had to, I'm glad greenie is leaving. Wingo & Golic will be much better. I have no respect for Greenberg if this is true but it seems very fitting. I've always felt Golic is a genuine dude and greenie was always a snob trying to be a regular joe

Aren't their tie slots competing? Hope Golic whips his arse. I gaurantee greenie is about to "Lib out"

they have had a thread about the one person you would like to punch in the face... Nancy Grace is at the top of most people's list.. but for me it's Greenberg without a doubt... he has never played any organized sport yet he thinks he has the right to cut down actual athletes that have played a sport.....

I am quite sure a substantial number of TD posters fit this bill.

Anyone remember Golic with Tirico calling college games on ABC in the late '90s? I don't know why ESPN made the bold announcement to move the show to NYC, then suddenly pull a 180 a year later. The few times I have listened I would have thought they were BFF's for life.

They probably secretly blame each other for the hate the show gets. It's ESPN they should be mad at, trying to hype the same guests for the same topics.

Oh, and they both suck too so they should look in the mirror.

It's funny when you watch the show, I noticed they never make eye contact anymore. You can tell things have changed/

This just seems like something you would expect from Greenberg. I think Golic seems like a good dude and at least a heads up from Mr. Berg that he wanted to go in a different direction.

well see.. that's just it. I feel like I could identify with Golic cause I played two sports all the way up through high school. Greenberg seems like the Monday morning QB type who second guessed everything. He's easier to hate because of his dorky appearance. He probably realized his schtick awhile back and ran with it. Good for him I guess. I don't really like him but who am I to talk shite?

just cause I identify with Golic more doesn't mean he's in the right... there may not be even a rift here to begin with.

the way news is reported nowadays sucks arse. That's a fact.. especially when it comes to petty BS like this.

if its true well then what? This isn't a moment of triumph. Not in my opinion anyway.

just MOAR ESPN rabble rabble bullshite talk.

The only thing he is good at is the advertising reads, which seem to be pretty much non stop on that show
he doesn't even know BBQ stands for "barbecue"

I kid you not. Greenberg had a spot that ran for a while where he misread that

If I were Golic, I would not be able to be around that little weasel either. At least Golic acts like MAN and cracks me up when he talks about drinking beer and eating good food.

Golic was in the booth with Dave Barnett and Bill Curry calling games for ESPN and that group was very good.

so what. That's what we like about college football.
We have a Buckeye and a Wolverine up there already, Pollack with UGA, they do enough cut ins to the SEC Network guys with Finebaum and Spears so you have Bama and LSU represented. Jesse Palmer with UF, Mack Brown with Texas, you're covering all the major programs for the most part. Having people like that have a voice can sometimes give bias opinions, but sometimes they give you info that you wouldn't hear from just another reporter, like Booger last year talking about Miles. No one else could have said some of the things he said, but b/c he's a Tiger it means more and is respected.

Golic is a football guy, and should be doing something with football only. I'd welcome him to college football in whatever capacity.
