Anyone remember Golic with Tirico calling college games on ABC in the late '90s?

Could care less about their drama.

both should feel lucky to have a job at cratering ESPN.

if I had to pick a side I would go with GOlic because despite his nasally voice that makes me want to put ice picks into my ear drums and his stupid sense of humor, he does seem like the most normal guy and I would enjoy having a conversation with him during a BBQ.

Greenberg seems like someone who takes himself waaaayyyyy too seriously. these are literally the worst kinds of people.

Humility is underrated in a lot of ways.

It's because Greenberg is such a fricking pussy he couldn't man up and have a man to man talk with someone that is not limp wristed like himself

I don't mind their show as much as most posters here it seems. It's banal and watered-down, but that works for my morning drive when my only major concerns are finishing my coffee and the idiots on the Beltway. It at least highlights the major sporting news.

Having said that, if Greenie went behind Golic's back after all those years, that's a chicken shite move.

Barnett and Curry were pretty high up the food chain for ESPN back then. I liked them doing games. I have no idea what happened to them.

Barnett had that bizarre mini-stroke during a Rangers broadcast some years back and fell off the map. I think he's the voice of North Texas athletics now.

Curry was hired to start up the Georgia State program, but I don't think he hung around long. He's probably enjoying retired life.

I liked both of them, too. Curry calling the LSU student section "utterly lucid" has always stuck with me.

I did not know that about Barnett. I think he left ESPN around 2006, and disappeared for several years. I heard him call a few Big 12 baseball games on FSN every now and then. When Curry was at Kentucky I remember him from his coach's show we got on TV. Damn, I forgot he went to Georgia St.

Glad I don't have to listen to Greenberg tell us how much he loves his Mahindra Tractor and how frequently he buys Bosch Premium Wiper blades at autozone for much longer.
