Best NBA rosters on paper with bad records?

Maybe it's because the roster is pre-prime or past-prime players but who has had a great roster on paper but it didn't materialize into wins?
2011 Golden St Warriors (23-48)
- Steph Curry
- Monta Ellis
- Klay Thomson
- David Lee
- Richard Jefferson
I'm sure that's not a great example but with Klay and Steph it's pretty intriguing
Any others?

Doesn't look that great...
First team I think of is the Lakers with Kobe, Nash, Howard

I know they were older but the nets a few years ago with D Williams, Johnson, Pierce, Garnett and Lopez.
The Kobe, Nash, Howard was bad too.

I agree. Just weird seeing Curry and Klay on a losing team

I'm cheating a little because of injury, but the 96 Spurs were terrible with:
Avery Johnson
Vinny Del Negro
Vernon Maxwell
Dominique Wilkins
David Robinson (played < 10 games)
Sean Elliott

Funny I think their 2011-2012 roster was better.
Isaiah Thomas
Tyreke Evans
Demarcus Cousins
Hassan Whiteside
I don't know why the Kings got rid of Geoff Petrie. The man was a great GM who was building something special in Sac-Town.

If the 2004 team was healthy (esp in the finals, recall Malone was injured and Jackson refused to play Fox) they would have won it all that season. They played very few games together at full steam all season.

Unless I am mixing up years, Klay Thompson was a rookie and Steph Curry played less than half of the season.

The Warriors had virtually the same roster with Mark Jackson as they did with Steve Kerr. The players didn't magically just get way better. Kerr simply put the players in much better positions to take advantage of their talents where the previous coaching staff held them back.

1) 47-35 is not a bad record.
2) Does it really count when all of the best players are 22-24 years old? It's rare to win a lot of games with a core group of players who are that young.
