That is the impression that I have gotten from him over the years. I will acknowledge that he almost certainly has been the most scrutinized American athlete ever and that not all of it is fair. Still I think he brings a good bit of it on himself.

Last night, reporter Kenny Roda asked him a question on what caused him to have a bad game 3. Lebron answered but then told the reporter that he only came around when the Cavs lost (not true). When I read about this, I thought it might have been someone like Gregg Doyel stirring the pot, but when I watched the video it seemed like a legit question, not out of line at all.

LINK

Starts around 3:10.

From Roda:

quote:

For the record, been to 4 of 5 #Cavs home playoff games this year, all home playoff games last year. Ask questions win or lose

— Kenny Roda (@TheKennyRoda)

quote:

For the record, said on my radio show #LeBron should be MVP this year, was a joke not in final 3,is best player in the world, great off court 2

— Kenny Roda (@TheKennyRoda)

Some people will hate Lebron no matter what. Some will blindly defend him and make excuses for him. I really think it's stuff like this that irks the unbiased fans. I am not saying he's never been gracious after a loss - he has...but for being a high level athlete he seems to have very thin skin.

Lebron acts like he started playing basketball because he wanted anal from men and he's just now realizing he might not get it at this stage in his life.

Gregg poppovich has done the same thing 100 times this postseason and for some reason the media jerks him off for it

As a Lebron fan I don't like this.

BUT for consistency purposes, this just shows his fervent disgust for losing, like Kobe and MJ!

I flat out don't like Lebron, but I don't see any issue with how he handled that. He answered Kenny's first question smoothly, then Kenny started to twist the knife a bit and Lebron got a little aggravated.

Jordan's worst game in the playoffs 15 point.

Lebron has scored 15 or less 11 times in the playoffs.

It's possible that LeBron just doesn't like that guy, just like Westbrook hated a certain media guy.

And I don't see how this comes across as him giving the notion that's he's above criticism. He's been holding himself accountable all night.

Twist the knife? He asked if it was something the Celtics did defensively or if he just wasn't feeling it. How the hell is that twisting the knife?

Yeah, no one ever talks about Draymond being a bad sport or ungracious. Especially not on the MSB

If you concede this, you almost have to give him a bit more leeway for moments like this.

Basically, yea he was wrong, but you can understand why he'd do or say or feel that way.

Also, let's be honest, if MJ or Kobe did this we'd be fawning over how much winning meant to them that they were so upset by losing and playing poorly, they just couldn't help themselves.

I really have no issue with this. Based on LeBron's perspective Kenny only asks him questions when they lose and he addressed his perspective. big deal.
