Two faculty members at a middle school in Rockdale County, Georgia, will no longer be returning in the fall after awarding a student with ADHD a “Most Likely to Not Pay Attention” award. According to Washington, D.C. affiliate FOX 5, the mother of the Memorial Middle School student, Nicole Edwards, said her 8th grader received the tasteless award during a school assembly on Tuesday.

“You guys are calling me when you’re having problems with her in school, when you’re having problems with her not paying attention or not getting it, and then you give her an award for it?” Edwards told FOX 5. “Why call me to discipline her, but yet you turn around and give her an award for it, it doesn’t make sense?” A spokesperson for the district’s Rockdale County Public Schools confirmed with the news station that two teachers directly involved in the award won’t be returning the following school yea

I guess the teachers can laugh when this kid gets fired from her job later in life for the exact same thing.

How do you get fired over that?
That's just funny. Because it's true.

I teach 108 students every single day, 53 of them have diagnosed ADD/ADHD and at least 5 more should be....
I have another 10 parents that think their child should be diagnosed but they show no signs

Statistically impressive if true

I was an athiest, though not professed or anything - just irreverent as hell, at a Catholic school and I got least likely to join a religious order.

As someone with ADD, I didn't read.

Every parent puts their kid on ADD/ADHD medicine now, mainly because it gives them special accommodations and an excuse for their child when they do bad.

The person that fired them should be fired. frick I hate social engineering!

It's absurd to give a child something like that, but the parent definitely deserves one.

ADHD is a fake condition. If your kid has "ADHD" it means you're a bad parent
