If a convicted felon has a gun on him and refuses to comply with police than he has no one to blame except himself for the outcome of the situation.

Bingo. The police are not damn pre-school teachers. You want to get froggy, they'll jump with you.

RFK, did any members of the African American community tell you that OJ didn't slice up two people?

This is all shown in the videos and discussed in the DOJ report. Gravy is just taking it out of context and acting like there was an ADDITIONAL confrontation.

They did point a gun at him and very likely told him they would shoot him if he did not comply.

Why this is controversial or some kind of new information just shows the low-level of people we are dealing with.

I think the DOJ report is a total beat-down to any of the claims of a bad shoot. Sterling was given multiple opportunities to comply. He refused and paid with his life.

Some only want to tell part of the story.

They leave out the part where 911 was called because Sterling was threatening someone with a gun.

It's not as if these cops were just driving by, saw Sterling, and decided to shoot someone.

When you look at the big picture, Sterling had already broken the law by carrying a gun as a convicted felon. If he had just quietly let the cops talk to him, I'm guessing that he would probably been arrested, but we will never know that not because he was shot but because he decided not to talk to the cops and resisted.

The US attorney stated that the officer put a gun to his head prior to the tazing / struggling / shooting. I don't recall if the US attorney stated the officer said he was going to kill him or not.

Probably from the body camera footage. If it was bystander footage, you can guarantee it would be on social media by now.

Sterling was a convicted felon illegally carrying a firearm. If arrested, he knew he was going back to prison. This gave him motive to resist at all costs.

I have lots of issues with the police and their tactics, but this is as easy a case as I've ever seen.

The camera pans in to a young man in a business suit, Alton Sterling (played by Cuba Gooding Jr.) walking into the Triple S market.

"Alton, my man!" says the shopkeeper (played by Kumar) "just who I wanted to see, I'd like to set up a college fund for my daughter and I hear you sell cd's."

Alton replies "Why yes I do sell certificates of deposit and other financial products such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. For a college fund, I would recommend a no load mutual fund with low risk and a diverse profile based on blue chips and green energy stocks."

Sirens heard in the background

A police car swerves into the parking lot at high speed. Two police officers emerge from the car (played by Stone Cold Steve Austin and Edward Norton)
The officers strut into the Triple S
Fade out, gunshots are heard

Titles - "This Spring, a hero will arise above adversity to heal a city"
Cut to Gary chambers (played by Denzel Washington) speaking at a podium in front of a large crowd and tv cameras
"My friends - we must do good and seek justice!"

Titles - Alton - Spring 2018

Well you may not know it but this man's a spy
He's an undercover agent for the FBI
And he's been sent down here to infiltrate the Ku Klux Klan
He was still bent over holdin' on to his knee
But everyone else was lookin' and listenin' to me
And I layed it on thicker and heavier as I went
I said would you beleive this man has gone as far
As tearin' Wallace stickers off the bumpers of cars
And he voted for George McGoveren for president
Well he's a friend of them long-haired hippie type pinko figs
I betcha he's even got a Commie flag
Tacked up on the wall inside of his garage
He's a snake in the grass I tell ya guys
He may look dumb but that's jus a disguise
He's a mastermind in the ways of espionage

It's all ridiculous nonsense. If there was proof that the officer put a gun to Sterling's head and dropped an N bomb on him, there would definitely have been a hate crime case brought by Obama's DOJ. The family and attorneys are trying to fan the flames.

Is this near the Broadmoor community? Typical of a lib attorney to use veiled racism to act high and mighty. So you talked to some rich black attorneys that you feel speak for the entire AA 'community'? The ones that live in rich white neighborhoods?

And I'm sure anyone in the NAACP is about as racially neutral as you can be, right?

You're wrong, and you are either intentionally perpetuating a lie or unintentionally doing it by buying into someone - who may or may not have a financial incentive to do so - who is mischaracterizing what the Acting U.S. Attorney said.

What he said - word for word - is in the last post on page 1, but I'll put it here for ease of reference:

"The videos show the officers as they arrived on scene and engaged with Sterling. The videos show that the officers directed Sterling to put his hands on the hood of a car. When Sterling did not comply, the officers placed their hands on Sterling, and he struggled with the officers. Officer Salamoni then pulled out his gun and pointed it at Sterling’s head, at which point Sterling placed his hands on the hood."

Not once did the Acting U.S. Attorney say a "the office put a gun to his head" much less "prior to the tazing / struggling / shooting." To the contrary, he said the officer pointed a gun at his head after struggling with Sterling, who was refusing to comply.

I'm sure you can understand the difference between "pointing a gun" at someone's head and "putting it to his head." The latter evokes an almost execution-like event (or at least a precursor to such) while the former connotes some distance between the gun and the person-at-whom-it's-pointed's head. For example, one can point a gun at someone's head from 5 ft., 10 ft., 100 ft., etc.

Bingo. It may just be semantics to some people, but it's a notable distinction. Notable enough for Alton defenders push a different narrative over what the US Attorney actually stated.

You have to understand that AA's for the most part are easily led by the nose on these issues. Their "wanting to belong" to something or whatever the frick it is has been fueled by false narratives, unethical community leaders, social media, a President wanting to be their homey, and a myriad of other factors.

Most of all, feel sad for them. They are relegated mostly to little slogans and false hope. Slaves to their own selves now.

That is a beautiful analogy! well said sir!
