re: I'm amazed at the seeming apathy towards Marshon Lattimore

Why wasn't Lattimore the #1 pick in the draft?
What position was the #1 pick in the draft?
What position was the #2 pick in the draft?
Does this draft represent "today's NFL game"?
When comparing a tier 1 pass rusher (Von Miller) to a tier 1 corner back (Patrick Peterson), the pass rusher wins every single time.
when comparing a tier 1 cornerback (Patrick Peterson) to a tier 2 pass rusher (Olivier Vernon), the cornerback wins every single time.

I read the article and under hill actually says QB hits. If we were 4th in hits our D should have been much better

So what is your point then?
You listed 6 best secondaries and 6 best front sevens.
Well 5 of the 6 teams listed as top 6 secondaries went to the playoffs, 2 in the super bowl.
Only 2 of the 6 teams listed as 6 best front sevens even made the playoffs.
How does this support your argument in any way?
Edit - sorry saints fan I thought the other dude posted this, Rohan Gravy
Great point, well played sir!!!!!! Pretty much shut down this entire thread with those stats. Dominant secondaries clearly made the difference. Stopping the pass is crucial

BS.
Here are the best secondaries from last year,
Dallas
NY Giants
NE Patriots
Denver
Seattle
Atlanta
here are the best front 7s
Denver
Seattle
Carolina
Rams
Raiders
Vikings
But carry on
Ok....the best front 7's you named were in the last three Superbowls....

This
Going Lattimore over Barnett was a no brainer. We got a guy that's considered an elite level prospect at the #11 spot. It was a fricking steal. We had a huge need at CB and we filled it with what was considered one of the 5 best players in this draft. I truly do not understand how some aren't getting this

Those were last years rankings. Im too lazy to go through 2015 and 2014

Shut up fool. You got crushed by saints fan.
Only 3 of those teams were in last few years sb's. Btw 2 of the 3, seattle and denver, is on the list of this years top 6 secondaries. And Im sure carolina was last year before they lost josh norman.
Shut up already.

I do get it...
I think it was the correct pick.
Others are incapable of understanding the difference between the Lattimore pick and the fact that I believe pass rush is more important than secondary....
Football 101 is DL and OL....
Always has been and still is....
Just my opinion...

The best pass rushing and best secondary lists also shows you can be on both but suck if your QB sucks.
What the list also proves is even with an elite D you need at least a competent QB.

Pass rush is more important but Barnett wasn't going to make our pass rush elite, Lattimore could potentially make our secondary elite.
If Lattimore was not there and we had say taken Humphrey over Barnett I wouldn't have agreed with that.

Well there you go....

And they are:
Seattle with a good secondary and QB still made the playoffs.
Denver with a good secondary and good pass rush but shite QB missed the playoffs. Made the SB with Manning.
Carolina with a good pass rush and QB but shite secondary missed the playoffs. Made the SB with Norman and other better secondary pieces.
So the list also proves QBs and secondaries are more important than pass rush. You can not have a great pass rush and still win the SB (Pats) with a great secondary and QB. But if you lack a secondary or QB you will suck.
All signs are pointing against the pass rush argument.

No that's a false argument....
You must have an elite QB or nothing else matters.
