We already signed Ginn Jr. Why did you leave him off?
Bc he doesn't catch that well

What difference will that make? I never heard of anyone preventing a football injury before. Jacksonville lost Dante Fowler and Jaylen Ramsey back to back. Do they need additional medical personnel also? Clowney was lost for the season in game 1 of his rookie year. You expecting our entire draft class to be on IR before the season starts? Should we have drafted LSU players and that would guarantee they wouldnt get injured?
WOW!!!Calm down little buddy. It was just a joke. Pour yourself another cup of coffee and quit kicking the dog!

People severely underrate Ginn Jr. He's still fast as shite and has had 700 yards receiving the past 2 seasons. He even had 10 TDs in 2015 and 4 last year with a lot of mouths to feed like Benjamin, Funchess and Olsen.
It's not just Cooks, Snead and a huge drop off. Payton likes Ginn and feels like he can be viable in our offense. I, for one, will take that. If we made it through 2015 with a one legged Colston and an old Meachem with Cooks and Snead as our only real threats then I think we will be fine.

Payton likes him some Jake Lampman. Unproven as a WR but a stud Special teams player.

Yes he has drop issues, and despite that he still managed over 730 yards each of the last two years with Newton throwing to him.
And the point made earlier in the thread about Thomas going down, if that happens it doesn't matter who we bring in. There's no one on his level in FA.
All that said next year we do need to start looking for another speed receiver. The cliff for WRs is 34, so that gives us 2 years before Ginn is estimated to be done. Need to grab one to start grooming.

If we had to have some depth I wouldn't mind taking a flyer on Michael Floyd. He's still just 27

Can we get a redraft? We kinda forgot to get any starters

You sure about that?

This is Ginn's 11th year? He's more in the Henderson/Meachem role and he's getting old.
Yeah but you didnt even mention him. As if you think he is below Coleman and Lewis on the depth chart. Not even in the picture.
It would be better if you just admit you forgot we signed him.

Chad has a point on Lampman.
Dude's a beast blocker and ST player. He could turn into a possession guy.

I forgot him because I don't really consider him a great signing for my reasons stated.
A guy like Boldin (even though he's old as shite) would be a better add because Drew's arm isn't getting stronger. Adding another guy who can get open and make the tough catches on intermediate routes would be more helpful than an aging speed guy who lacks consistency catching the ball.

But you definitely said if Snead or Thomas go down (as if they play the same position) we are rolling with Lewis/Coleman as a starter. That implies that Ginn is just not going to see the field. Thats silly and they only way you do that is if you forgot he was on the team.
I just find it odd that you start this thread mainly cause you want to discuss your views on the WR depth chart and its weaknesses but you do so little research that you leav off 20% of it. You mention every other WR except him lol.

Everybody forgets about Lampman, and you are correct he is a great ST guy. But he has good hands and he also runs good routes. I think he could push for some playing time this year.

Doesn't matter. It's still a major need.
