4AM thoughts on the man, the myth, the legend: #2 Lowell Narcisse, Jr.

I'm aware this is not some riveting, new divulgence to a lot of y'all, but I'd like to quickly explain why a decently strong contingent of fans believe he has what it takes to finally get LSU over the perennial QB nightmare/mediocrity. Let me also preface this to say I think Danny is the dude this year and will do a very respectable job. This is simply an Ode to Lowell, starting September 2018.
May 2015- tears his right ACL effectively ending his entire junior season except for the final 2 playoff games going 23-of-36 for 296 yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions losing to Lutcher in the title game.
January 2016- his father, Lowell Narcisse Sr dies just a few days after being diagnosed with cancer.
August 2016-set to begin his senior season and make it a big one in commemoration of his late father, tears his left ACL in the jamboree ending his senior season. So in 2 years as an upperclassman his stat sheet reads 23 completions for roughly 300 yards and 6 TDs.
August-December 2013/2014-So what did he do in the 2 years he played as a freshman/sophomore in a highly competitive district? Completed 350 passes on 629 attempts (almost 60%) for 5,433 yards. 64 touchdowns, 22 picks. Rushed for 2,354 yards and 34 touchdowns.
So he averaged 2,700 passing yards, 1,200 rushing yards and 50 TDs in both his freshman and sophomore seasons. Also managed to still rank as a top 10 QB nationally, top 10 overall prospect in the state, and the top QB prospect in state despite playing in roughly 3 games the last 2 seasons. He's very bright/early grad, no off the field issues, big on film study, passionate for the game, has overcame more adversity than any other freshman I can ever recall. Oh yeah and he physically looks like a draft ready Deshaun Watson at 6'2 225 with a cannon and can flat out move. 2,354 rushing yards in 2 years.
January 2017-Commits and early enrolls at LSU despite NONE of the coaches that recruited him (Miles, Cameron, Craig, Juluke) still being on staff and having an offer from every school in the country bc he "knew where my heart was" and "LSU stayed committed to me (despite the injuries) so I'm staying committed to them." Somewhere a young aspiring rapper/actor named THATLSUBOY exclaimed "YE-YE!!!" and took another sip of his bud light.
February 2017-Doctors 100% clear both of his knees. Junior is ready to shake fools and do the Cupid Shuffle.

The guy has an absolute cannon, the ball doesn't wobble either when he throws it. Just straight flames

I said this last year when I saw him up close at at 7v7 I worked at the saints facility in June.
Storms were about to start plastering the area like many summer afternoons, which means gusts of winds picked up. While it started to rain and the winds were nuts, he continued to rip passes right on target.
Yes, no pass rush. But they have 2.5 or 3 seconds to get rid of the ball.
Quick decisions to the open man most times and again, tight spirals ripping through pretty strong winds.
If his body can endure the SEC, I think he has "it" for this team in the future.

Once it is announced that he is the official back up QB, then he will become my favorite player

Dude looks thick. He's not some Lamar Jackson bean pole. Don't get me wrong, i would take that production all day and twice in Saturday's but Lowell looks like russel Wilson in terms of body type.
I'm hoping this young man continues to work his tail off and is successful.

I wish he was ready to start this season.

We need a sticky and/or a trophy to hand out to the April future HoF backup QB award

How is he under center? Oh that's right never been there done that until three weeks ago. He is an elite athlete and will play for LSU however it may not be at the spot you think. So why not let him see if he can take a snap and get his head around reading SEC defenses before we start the acalades which he has not earned in all 7 on 7,s he has been in.

Which QB on this team worked from under center before getting here? I'll wait.

Exactly, guess what tho we dont have CCM to destroy our QB's anymore
and I am all in on Narcisse if he can stay healthy, just please let us find a mobile qb who has a strong accurate arm that can hit wide open recievers on short and long routes..

Narcisse has persevered through some challenging obstacles and never once said "woe is me". He is my favorite player by far kid is fighter. Good write up Sampson. It should also be mention that he returned back from both surgeries ahead of schedule. That just speaks to his willingness to succeed.
