Any healthcare reform that keeps the 'survey' system in place is doomed to fail.

other than titling, what's the difference functionally between repeal and replace and keep and improve? a matter of degree? doesn't improvement equate to replacement at some point?

everyone wants improved health care
very few people want to pay for it, though, especially people who choose to spend their money on luxury and entertainment goods

You were for something that, according to this poll, only 1% of the country now want to keep as is.

It depends what you remove vs what you improve.
If you rip out the EHBs, wreck the exchanges, and remove pre-existing condition protections you're not improving, you're repealing.

kind of like a slanted version of your thread from yesterday
but with all governmental programs, we know what the response will be. we just need to make some tweaks and improvements

i call bullshite only because surveys are often pushed towards people that vote one way. This needs to be an question sent to every single household throughout america to get a better result than these surveys. They are very often wrong

And let's examine your poll from WAPO.
37% repeal and replace
61% keep and improve
1% keep as is
2% no opinion
First off, the 2% no opinion should be something to tell you that this poll is off. No matter what you poll, you'll typically have at least a 5% "no opinion" or did not answer response.
Second, so you are telling me that 4/10 want repeal and replace, while 6/10 want to keep the law and improve it, while only 1/10 want to keep the law at is.
Of those 3 options repeal and replace, keep and improve, and keep as is...which 2 responses are closer together? I'm talking in terms of basic human language. Repeal and replace is the polar opposite of keep and improve. So you are trying to convince us then, that of the keep crowd, 6/10 want to keep and improve, while 1/10 want to keep as is? So if there was no option to improve, then the keep crowd would more likely go to keep as is, correct? So how in the blue frick, can you have such a large disparity between keep as is and keep and improve? They are the same boat. Yet are diametrically opposed in this poll, meaning....
Yet another 100% bullshite poll fed to you, bamaatl, by WAPO, and being the good little slave you are, you are eating that cowpie up. Maybe they'll let you sleep in the big house tonight.

Why didn't the DNC make a good bill in the first place?

which means there is literally no difference in repeal/replace and "improve"

and now you conflate your subjective preferences (the aspects of the law) with objective facts (the definitions used)

But according to Bama the ACA has been a huge success.

How the frick do they know? They have NO clue what repealing and replacing would or would not do.

There is a problem with the assumptions that you make based on the questions asked. Of course most Americans want plans available that cover pediatric and maternity as well as some coverage on prescriptions as well as coverage for pre-existing conditions.
The better questions to be asked is that in a free society, should I or anyone else be compelled to engage in any type of commerce against our will and that if we do not be penalized for it? The Supremes punted on that issue.
Another question in a corlloary sense is also whether or not if I do elect to engage in commerce should I have to pay for services as an individual that I will never need like maternity and pediatric care.

the real question for these surveys should be: how much are you willing to pay for these things?
