Trump vs. tEstablishment (Globalist Wing) - The Wall

This should be an interesting week. Will Ryan or Trump fold? The Trump admin is out making the rounds this morning saying they can't imagine that the Dems would shut down the government over wall funding. They are really taking to Ryan here. globalist
The problem for tEstablishment here is that Trump can make sure that a government shutdown is less noticeable than normal. Remember, Obama had to take unusual measures to gin up photo ops for the last shutdown.

The Wall is nonnegotiable. If they don't build the wall TRUMP has to know he is a one termer. The Big, Beautiful Trump Wall will be built.

Does anyone actually believe building a 2000 mile long wall will stop (or even slow) illegal immigration and/or limit drug activity?
I ask because there are areas where people tunnel under the existing wall when just 30-40 miles away there is no wall at all. They could travel 40 miles from a major town/city and simply walk across the border - but it's easier to tunnel under.
And I'm not even getting into the fact that most will cross legally to work and simply never return. You're delusional if you think this is going to work. Be a man. Realize your error in judgement. Oppose this horrendous and ineffective waste of resources.

Appropriate Trump $12 billion for the wall.
How does he pay for it?
Approve Wilber Ross' letter of intent to renegotiate NAFTA.
Done.
But big government protectionist Paul frickING Ryan will block him.

but making a shutdown less painful would be a terrible way to leverage wall funding out of it

Good thing the wall isn't very expensive then

Yep, and let's not forget what Speaker Ryan said...

Eventually, but at a later date so we can get started early, Mexico will be paying, in some form, for the badly needed border wall.

Paul Ryan is a worthless pos that needs to go. Terrible Speaker of the House.

Take 1/10 of the money it would take to build a wall and use it to arrest and prosecute every American who hires an illegal alien.
Farmers, meat-packers, hotels, restaurants, old ladies who want cheap yardwork, etc. Lock their asses up, and watch the illegal alien issue dry up in a hurry.
The laws are on the books. Just enforce them.

Everytime I see the youtube video of Eddie Munster as Paul Ryan. I can see him beating the club down saying, 'he's rotten, he's rotten', because Speaker Ryan can't have HIS WAY.

Normally I would agree but I've seen enough internally over the past couple of months to say that Trump is a whole different ball game.

The establishment is deathly against the wall. They want open borders for obvious reasons (cheap labor). The corporations are funding Paul Ryan's opposition. And the wall is not necessarily for the Trump administration. They will do a good job of enforcing current immigration law and will control illegal immigration pretty effectively. The wall is for future open border administrations (like Obama's) that will overtly ignore immigration law for cheap labor, NGO pay offs (looking at you Catholic and Moromon churches), and Democrat votes. Their argument about money for the wall is a lie. They are simply worried about the physical barrier and problem it presents with getting people to cross it.

BAT.
20% tax on all imports. Paul Ryan wants that. It is protectionist AF.
Even Trump thinks that's a bridge too far.
Why? Because we lose our ability to implement punitive measures to our bad trading partners and rewards to our good trading partners. The BAT is EXTREMELY dumb.

The wall is one of the more ridiculous things we could waste our resources on. It's not going to be worth it at all. And the next president will just tear the damn thing down.
