Oh, I agree 100% with this.

I just understand the motivations of a Proggie OP and what the purpose of this thread is.

There's a very large difference between being university educated and university credentialed.

Two many of the latter mistakenly think they're part of the former.

They can usually be found on cable news shows or writing op-eds on subjects they actually know nothing about.

People do not despise intellect, most enjoy an abundance of it without broadcasting.

However, they do despise others who go about their days presuming that they are intellectually superior or that differing ideologies are indicative of an intellectual void.

Intellectualism as a lifestyle is punchable to most, I'm glad that awareness levels have been heightened.

Prime example of what I'm talking about.

Education snob.

Can't have a civilized convo on any of this without Proggies coming in and doing shite like this.

And yes, fricktard, the world does need more Americans NOT getting useless college degrees in "arts" and doing more voc ed work like this. There would be less college debt and more grads going straight to work instead of living at home. We are seeing a record number doing this now (living at home with their parents). That benefits no one.

But keep mocking anyone who recommends this.

Tell me how my 'attitude' is leading to anti-intellectualism.

I very much dislike people in the 'social sciences' telling people how we should think. That is the definition of pseudo-intellectualism.

Not to mention that social sciences are bogus.

Lol. What you are calling intellectualism is actually educationalism and people are reacting to the over-educated thinking they are superior.

This is also true in Christianity except people are leaving the church or becoming more extreme in their beliefs because they refuse to study and learn from those who came before them.

To be fair, WP isn't a proggy. A jew-behind-every-curtain conspiracy nut sure, but definitely not a proggy.

Social sciences aren't actual sciences based off of anything empirical.

They just take prevailing trends from pop culture and mainstream society and tell people how they should think.

Example: a social scientist would tell us that a fear of islam & muslims is nonsensical and foolish.

Who are they to tell individual people how we're supposed to feel and react to different things going on in the world?
