We are starting an exercise operation with ROK today, that might trigger lil Kim to do something stupid.
ROK is "Intensifying preparations" as well..just looks to be a show off to NK.

ITV News has witnessed first-hand the intensifying preparations of South Korea's military as it gears up to respond to an attack from North Korea.
In the otherwise secretive state, South Korea's neighbour has made little attempt to keep its nuclear and ballistic missile ambitions under wraps; only last week, officials in Seoul claimed a ballistic missile had been fired into the waters off the east coast of South Korea.
Less than 50 miles south of the border between the two nations, jets are circulating the skies as pilots hone their combat skills just in case.
A shaky peace has existed between the neighbouring countries for 64 years, but over the last week the tempo of sorties has quickened in tandem with simmering tensions.
The slogan at Osan airbase is 'ready to fight tonight' and it is here that pilots are honing their combat skills just in case.
The South Korea capital Seoul is home to 10 million people who are well within range of the North Korean artillery batteries, which planners believe would open fire on the city in response to a preemptive strike.

We should attack and make it look like it was Australia. NK invades Australia and their army is wiped out by the wildlife.

Shooting down their test missles has been my thought process all along-provided of course they actually stay in the air long enough for us to actually shoot them down.

It does, but this is directly related to our national security unlike Syria which is a proxy war

Nah. They don't have any long range delivery systems. We're talking about overthrowing a nuclear power with strong ties to a super power.

Next to the UK and Israel, Australia is maybe our most important ally. They have backed us, without question, in virtually every war/conflict the US has been in since WWII.

Would be really awesome to shoot down one of their lame duck missiles. Would be the equivalent of Shaq soiking some little kids jump shot back in his face

In the short term are they a threat to mainland US? No but they do pose a threat to US assets in the region and regional allies. However sooner or later they are going to perfect their missile technology and than they will be a threat to us. The question is do we wish to tackle the problem now or later?

Trump is trying to bluff North Korea. My question is what if we waged war again in korea and won this time. What would be the benifit to winning a war with North Korea?

This is the kind of stuff one finds on the internet:
quote:
Even without nuclear weapons, North Korea has an ace in the hole. Most experts believe its claims to have enough conventional firepower from its artillery units to devastate the greater Seoul area, South Korea's bustling capital of 24 million. Such an attack would cause severe casualties — often estimated in the hundreds of thousands — in a very short period of time.
Many of these artillery batteries are already in place, dug in and very effectively camouflaged, which means that U.S. and South Korean forces cannot count on being able to take them out before they strike. Experts believe about 60 percent of North Korea's military assets are positioned relatively close to the Demilitarized Zone separating the countries.
North Korea's most threatening weapons are its 170 mm Koksan artillery guns, which are 14 meters long and can shoot conventional mortar ammunition 40 kilometers (25 miles). That's not quite enough to reach Seoul, which is 50 kilometers (30 miles) from the DMZ. But if they use rocket-assisted projectiles, the range increases to about 60 kilometers (37 miles). Chemical weapons fired from these guns could cause even greater mayhem.
North Korea experts Victor Cha and David Kang posted on the website of Foreign Policy magazine late last month that the North can fire 500,000 rounds of artillery on Seoul in the first hour of a conflict.
