I agree, I think Lafayette should be a big front-runner. 2 hours down I-10 or 2.5 down Hwy 90. Which brings more of Acadiana in between both Pels and their d-league affiliate in Lafayette. There's a ton of Saints season ticket holders in Lafayette. Pels could really benefit from attracting more people from this area.
Also, the Cajundome just underwent a $20Million complete renovation. It looks like a professional arena now. Not the Cajundome of old. And the Icegators are no longer a thing, bring in NBAD, and I think it generates a big buzz.

Biloxi/Pensacola/Mobile make the most sense in coordinating with those 3.
yup
i think we can bank on it being either biloxi or mobile. p'cola is pretty far away by bus

Would this not be good to keep in Louisiana? I know its not a lot of jobs, but it is some ticket sales, vendors at games, etc. that we could keep in state...
Just a thought. North LA seems logical as it is close to other teams, would be in a part of the state that isn't big into the Pelicans, while still remaining in Louisiana.

The Cajun Dome looks great now
+ I feel the Pels fanbase here is severely lacking. I've mentioned it in other threads, but you can hardly find any Pels gear here. I see some people wearing shirts aorund town, but it's nothing close to how often you see Saints gear. I understand the Saints are insanely popular here, but the Pels could become very popular as well.

Mobile can't support anything...Boogie needs to promote the Pels to the Port City.

A poster on PR says Corpus Christi is trying to get in the mix.

With the success of the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in Hidalgo, TX (3 hours away) and the proximity to 3 other D-League teams (Austin, Dallas, OKC), Corpus Christi, TX and their venue, the American Bank Center (LINK ), feel like they would make an ideal home for a minor-league basketball franchise, specifically the Pelicans D-League team to start play in 2018-19.

Lake Charles would be a good landing spot if they are going to play the majority of there games against their southwest division rivals. From a logistics point of view LC makes sense, plus they'll have three venues including the new McNeese on campus arena and the Downtown Civic Center that recently went through upgrades.
Spurs in Cedar Park (Austin suburb)
Mavs in Frisco (Dallas suburb)
Rockets in Hidalgo (South Texas)
Thunder in OKC
Memphis getting new team in North Miss.

I think Jackson makes a lot of sense. They are more centrally located on the map of other D-league cities. It would also expand the Pelicans brand into MS.
Jackson makes no sense. I went to the coliseum back in feb for the rodeo and that thing is a dump on steroids.

P'cola makes the most amount of sense due to attracting quality d-league players

Should go to BR. The River Center badly needs an anchor tenant
