Actually Hillary Clinton won the 30-44 year old age group by 8 percentage points.
But I get your point about the youth vote. People especially whites usually become more conservative as they grow older.

I was comparing the same group of people.
IE, a person in that 18-30 bracket when Bill won in 1992 is now at least 48 years old.

But, frankly, I wouldn't waste my time examining the black vote. You can predict the black vote by talking to any random group of 5 blacks. They're like a hive mind when it comes to voting.
But, the other groups would be of interest.

quote:All of which is explained buy a great French political story.
In 1992, Bill Clinton won the 18-24 year old vote by 11 points.
In 2016, those voters were age 42-48. How did Hillary do with that group of people? Hell, Obama lost that group in 2012!
G. B. Clemenceau was a French politician, physician, and journalist who served as Prime Minister of France during the First World War
One day a wild-eyed subordinate burst into a private a meeting Clemenceau was holding and informed him, “Your son has just joined the Socialist Party.” Expecting Clemenceau to be mortified at both the outburst and the news, attendees were aghast. Clemenceau smiled and coolly responded, “Sir, my son is 22 years old. If he had not become a Socialist at 22, I would have disowned him. If he is still a Socialist at 30, I will do it then.”
Later Churchill, made a similar observation, "He who is not liberal in youth has no heart. He who remains liberal with age has no brain."

Liberals that do not recognize that people's political views change over time through life experience are idiots.

That sort of thinking is known as delusional.

Conservatism is a side effect of being an adult.
Which is why we're at Disney today so we don't have to be.

It was your hero, Obama, that ended up doing more by accident to get republicans elected than any politician in decades.

Having grown up in a Baptist house, I've become far more liberal than I was when I first gained the right to vote. I don't feel as oppressed or as likely to be chastised for my political choice. I'm sure that I'm not the only one.

I was ultra conservative until I graduated from college and became an adult.
Coincidentally, I'm educated and religious and am labeled a liberal.

Yeah, but your a woman. Women are more liberal in nature.
Posted on 3/18/17 at 10:16 pm to sparkinator
Maybe. I was a woman when I was 18 to 23 also though. I was more sheltered then. When I began interacting more with people who weren't like me in terms of race, class and education, my views changed.

Yeah, but as a group you are more emotional thinkers than men. You are more nurturing , caring, loving. Men as a group aren't. We are more analytical when it comes to dealing with others. We only get worse as we interact with more people i.e. Get older.

Right men are more analytical as evidenced by you grouping every person into stereotypes. Lots of critical thinking happening here.
Posted on 3/18/17 at 10:41 pm to 4cubbies
Well, at least I didn't tell you that you'd understand when you got a little older.

And you proved his point.... Emotional.

I made an objective observation and you are calling me emotional. Sounds like you are projecting.
I've noticed that regularly here. Men call women emotion so they don't have to actually defend their meritless points. I understand. It's easier to call someone a name than defend a point that doesn't really make sense in context.

Woah now sugar tits. Emotions are flying.
I made an observation as well. And you are getting more riled up by the post
Relax.

Sure. I'm super riled up.

Are you debating that women, as a group, don't think more emotionally than men? Seriously? I didn't even think that was up for debate.

I have no idea who that website represents, it was just the first google search, but there are page after page of reasons studies on women being emotional thinkers, as a group.
And I find it wonderful that women as a group are. My daughter is a wonderful young lady that I respect and admire, but I know that the way she is wired, she is apt to be more emotional than her twin brother. Doesn't mean I don't value her opinion or short change her views though.
