Spinoff regarding young American voters EDIT TO ADD

ETA: I want to note, this is not intended to knock young voters. It is simply intended to observe a historical pattern that should be informative.
I pointed this out in the other thread, but honestly, I think it stands alone.
For my entire adult life, I've heard from liberals regarding the young vote with the not so subtle implication that as soon as all the old people have the courtesy to die out, the left will dominate. With that in mind, I'd just like to point out a few things.
In 1992, Bill Clinton won the 18-24 year old vote by 11 points.
In 2016, those voters were age 42-48. How did Hillary do with that group of people? Hell, Obama lost that group in 2012!
Democrats have won the under 30 vote in 7 out of the last 10 elections and have NEVER lost the under 30 vote(in terms of rounded percentages). Hell, Reagan won 49 states in 1984 and tied the 18-30 vote(after losing it in 1980. That voting block is now age 54-66. How's that vote working out?
If the liberal theory that the young voting pattern was some ticket to electoral dominance were true, it would have occurred LONG before today. And, for conservatives who piss on young voters, just remember, you were one once and your patterns were not dissimilar.
It's amazing what effect what ACTUAL ADULT life experience has on voting patterns.
UPDATES:
In 1976, Carter dominated the under 30 vote. Those people are on SS now or close.
We're basically looking at a pretty damned consistent pattern.

Mature, responsible adults vote republican. That's probably even more true today than ever.

Every generation of young voters think "change" is the most important thing in the world and that they'll NEVER be "like those evil old people".
Every generation of older voters think young voters are permanently demented.
Actual experience says, both are wrong.

As a young person, I can tell you exactly why.
Because we're dumb and don't pay shite in taxes. It's all fun and games when you're talking about spending OTHER people's money.
Once the young realize they don't like forking out their hard earned cash to give to someone else.

Did Hillary even match that margin?

Mature, stable people. The democrat party has become a circus sideshow.

They are more worried about transgenders in bathrooms and Russian conspiracy theories than fair trade and border security.

Young people who give up addressing the hard problems in America vote republican as they get older. It's the easy way out. Democrats see the bigger picture instead of seeking immediate gratification.

You do realize that voting brackets don't represent static groups of people, right?
18-30 year olds in 1980 weren't 18-30 in 2016. But, they sounded almost exactly the same. Interesting.....

Both parties do nothing but pander and have no desire to lose power by helping to improve lives. Dems need pissed off gays and feminists to maintain power.

Yeah. That's it.
It's like you guys can't even contemplate logic.
I could probably take this back much farther than 1980.
Every young generation thinks it's SOOOOOO much better than those older people.
Then, they become older.

That's so rich coming from the party that has literally been kicking and screaming and protesting everything from pussy farts to polar bears for a solid 6 months now

Old saying goes if you're 20 and not a liberal you don't have a heart.
If you're 40 and not conservative you don't have a brain.
I'm sure the young folks in the days of the Romans thought they knew it all too
