What was his listed playing weight last year?
240 seems kind of high, right?

yeah, i mean i knew he was every bit of 230, 240 is mildly surprising but i guess it shouldn't be. It's all going to be about his 40...

More
A few RB combine weights >= to LSU RB Leonard Fournette's 240 lbs:
Jamal Lewis 240
Ricky Williams 244
Derrick Henry 247
Brandon Jacobs 267
eta: LF7's athleticism will be off the charters compared to all of the above.

Jamal Lewis could fly. Thought I remember him running in the 4.3's

He was listed at 235 all last season. His father said a few months ago he was down to 227.

I don't think Jamal Lewis ran in the 4.3s. He was a 4.5 guy if I remember. He played faster than his 40 time though. Eddie George was a similar size and ran in the high 4.4s if I remember correctly.

Hope it's not a case of Eddie Lacy Syndrome.

See what that added weight will do to you? 2nd pick....smh

Is that impossible? Lacy was 231 at the combine
From pro day
Weight gain comes easy for some. As of late January Fournette weighed 227 according to his own father. Weighing 240 5 weeks later is a pretty substantial gain

Now I don't feel so bad, Crawfish & King Cake season even gets elite athletes

I guess, if you believe LF is going to run as slow as Lacy, who probably even got generous times at his pro day. I dont see reports of LF being bad weight like Lacy over the course of his career
Indeed, as does weight loss. shite, you can eat 5 lbs of crawfish and wake up the next morning 5-7 lbs heavier from sodium/water weight. Who knows, the LF camp may got his weight up at weigh in to make his 40 time look all that more impressive

There's quite a few Fournette threads showing up on the Saints board

his draft stock is pretty relevant to our 11 pick.
