yeah with the devaluation of RB and our defensive needs + defensive talent available at 11, drafting LF is a luxury we literally cannot afford

ingram was a 5.1 ypc guy last year. that's amazing. we don't need another RB with a big-ish salary and a RB over more valuable positions (that we need, on top of that)

To be honest after what I saw Fournette do today at 240 pounds if Ingram had a 5.1 yards per carry average Fournette could average 7 yards a carry. Depending on what you get for cooks if they do trade him and Fournette is on the board with the Saints first pick absolutely take him. That if cooks can get us another first round pick

There will be someone available at 11 that can help this team, defensively, more than Fournette can on offense. I will melt harder than SFP did for Ingram if they take Fournette at 11.

I would only take fournette as a 3rd rounder

not to knock fournette but I don't view any RB being better then a 3rd round pick, they just are not the heart and soul of teams anymore to have one star RB. teams do it with usually 3 and at minimum 2 RB who share the load so no, a RB, I don't care who he is, isn't better then a 3rd rounder

Fournette isn't a risky pick.
RBS transition easier than other positions. People keep saying draft defense and I get it, but if I could change something, it would be more time of possession. The Cowboys D is not great, but they can run the crap out of the ball and limit the other teams possessions. Nick Saban does this as well.

That's why I'd take Fournette. Dominate TOP, convert goalline and short yardage, and give Brees a break.

Look at our rushing stats during SB year. If I'm not mistaken, we were 6th in rushing.

By committee, but yeah, we need a consistent running attack.
