at 51. Must have some bad genetics. Hope he recovers quickly.
NEW YORK — Fitness trainer and host of NBC’s “Biggest Loser” Bob Harper says he is recovering from a serious heart attack that left him unconscious for two days.
Harper tells TMZ he was working out in a gym in New York City this month when he collapsed. He says a doctor who also was in the gym performed CPR on him.

When I hear shite like this about people who work their arse off to be healthy and then suffer from heart issues it's a really bummer. Wtf am I doing busting my arse on the treadmill if I'm going to die on it in ten years?

Holy crap. That's scary as hell. Goes to show you how little we know about heart health

I tell people all the time being fit, being strong, being shredded, and being healthy are all very different things.
You can be shredded and very unhealthy. You can be kind of tubby and be very fit. And you can be neither fit nor shredded and still be very healthy.

All that exercising for nothing

I'm fricked. I'm not really very healthy at all.

Being fit is diametrically opposed to being healthy.
You can be super fit and have terrible heart and liver health. The overall stress that is chronically placed on your heart will cause it to actually weaken. Heavy cardio training leads to chronic cortisol levels that lead to plaque build up in the coronary arteries. If you are are already predisposed genetically to this then it's a poor combination.
