I wonder what kind of jobs? She can definitely get hired waiting tables just to give her some income for the time being. Might still be in food stamps, especially with kids, but it would be some money at least.

I don't know who here has applied for jobs in the past few years, but 100 applications is a good start, not a finishing point in today's world.

If she is just sending applications in with no follow up, it's not surprising she hasn't gotten any hits.
