In other words, I want a press corps willing to report truthfully and without any bias, pro or con, towards the POTUS.

Strawman argument.
No one is saying those outlets can't print or say whatever they want. Their freedom of the press and speech isn't abridged at all. Nowhere in the 1st Amendment though does it imply that the President has to give X amount of access to Y media outlets, not even close. Every President has given more or less access to different outlets for a variety of reasons, in fact some have actually stopped the media entirely from what they were printing (looking at you Honest Abe who even threw reporters in prison and destroyed printing presses for daring to oppose him).
Sorry that the NY Times got their feelings hurt that Trump doesn't GAF about them and doesn't feel the need to give them elite level access.

CNN had the Temp Ban EO on their website yet on page one, they listed numerous lies about who was being sent packing or allowed in. All they had to do was click over to their own site with the entire EO listed.
A week later and they are still saying he said there was a terrorist attack in Sweden. Once again, look at the transcript and in no way did he say that. And look he was 100% right about bad things going on over there. They rioted and burned up cars 24 hours later.
Twisting semantics to print lies isn't journalism. If they want to stop acting like the Nation Enquirer and print actual facts, then they should be allowed in. Until then, they can DIAF.

Absolutely not.
Do you want a press corps where a vast majority of them openly and unapologetically went out of their way to put a selected candidate into office? Including taking marching orders from said candidate's campaign staff? Because that's what we had last year.

Nah, I would just like a MSM to leave their Prog/Dim BS at home but that's impossible when you consider over 90% of the media identifies as Prog/Dims and they are essentially the public relations arm of the Dimocratic party.

I want a press that's fair and unbiased.
Not one that literally has anchors and analysts crying on TV because their candidate didn't win.
If CNN wants to maliciously attack the president with reckless bias, and print "reports" that have no basis in fact or logic, then they don't need access.

This thread is further proof of how big a bunch of pussies the Republicans have become. You've got a congressman from Texas that won't attend town halls because he's too scared. Now you've got a president who's too big of a pussy to have National media outlets cover his press conferences for fear that they might call him out on his bullshite.
