I think we have a rotation of veterans who seem to get hurt enough that Musgrove will always have a spot in it. Of course, even he has had his share of injuries.

I'm gonna nut punch Hunch if he puts DumpsterFiers in the rotation over Musgrove.

Fiers is out of options. He either gets traded or makes the rotation. They aren't going to release him... If they were willing to do that, they will need to do it in the next day or two to allow him time to pick up with another team.

Scott Feldman got turned into a $10 million long relief man last year until he got traded. Fiers is capable of that role.

Named opening day starter by the Reds.

If you have a 100 loss team, Scott F. is your ace.

Is there a Bryce Harper type High School kid this year? They are straight tanking if Feldman is their #1.

Kind of surprised about Moran. He's played exceptionally well this spring. Anybody expecting Astros to deal some of their best minor league talent this year?

Jake is the most useful of all the guys fighting for the 25-man as a bench player. Reed, White, Moran, etc need as many ABs as possible until they are ready to be starters for us (or another team if they are traded). They also don't offer much defensive value.

I am sad about tKing though.

I'm not convinced Jake is a better option than Kemp at this point. Jake can't hit for shite and with Springer in CF and Reddick in RF, he'll mostly come in to spell Beltran/Aoki in LF. I think Kemp could handle a little LF and he handles the bat much better than Jake.

It's definitely a valid argument, but I think Kemp's offense isn't really enough of an upgrade over Jake, where the outfield defense from Jake is far and away superior. Having Springer and Reddick may curb the need for it but I give the edge to Jake in a battle of who we can utilize better.

Yes. They will have to if they want to compete. Too many liabilities in the rotation.even if they get to playoffs with thus rotation you don't have the firepower to win playoff games.

If we need to make a trade we will. We have a really good team, it's gonna be just fine baw.

Kemp would have a better path if we didn't have Marwin or Aoki. Marwin is too valuable as the utility man since he can play all the infield positions (sans catcher) plus LF. And Aoki is basically already what you'd hope for Kemp to be as a backup outfielder.

Jake exists as a pinch runner/defensive replacement. He's the better option in that role. Kemp isn't a real outfielder. He's got a noodle arm and isn't anything special defensively. Kemp should keep his fingers crossed to get traded somewhere that he's got a path to the majors in the infield. IMO he could hit well enough to stick on a ML club but he won't be an outfielder.

In case anyone missed a vid of Correa's monster dong last night.

Dude is gonna give Trout a run for his money in the MVP race if this WBC is any indicator

I have the 10th and 11th pick in my fantasy league, and it's becoming really difficult for me to take away my astros bias and not draft him

He demolished that baseball.

Yuli and Fisher have gone deep today.

Aoki is going to have to play extremely well to stay on the team all season. Fisher and Teoscar can play. Or, if Yuli can play some LF along with Beltran, that opens the door for tKing/Reed/Moran.
