I sure would like watching this spring training game if ROOT would fix this garbage video feed.

Springer solo oppo bomb followed by a Yuli 3-run oppo blast in the first.

Poor Phil Hughes. When Nolan Ryan says "I don't remember a game when a guy was getting hit harder than this"....that's a bad day at work.

He's ready

Edit: we are hammering Phil Hughes. Dude might need to think about hanging up the spikes soon, he's been awful the last couple years

@JimBowden_ESPN
#WhiteSox continue to work hard on Jose Quintana trade that could happen before opening day with Astros & Braves appear best possibilities

@JimBowden_ESPN
A potential #WhiteSox #Astros deal would be centered around a package of both Frances Martes and Kyle Tucker. However, nothing close.

Id strongly consider this.

Quintana still has a ton in the tank and under team control and has proved it in the majors. Martes may have a ton of potential but at this time its still just that. Potential. Giving up both would hurt though.

If we don't have to give up any other big pieces (i.e. no Reed, Musgrove, etc) then we should absolutely do it.

I mean, who else will be included? That's the key. If it's Martes-Tucker headlining, what other two guys do you include?

Another arm and another bat (although I know we'd prefer two more bats)?

Perez or Whitley with J.D. Davis or Moran maybe?

Reed will absolutely be part of the package. White sox like him a lot for their park.

If we're giving up Martes I would not want to give up Whitley at all. I think Martes/Tucker/Reed gets you pretty close with another fringey guy added in

I can't see them not wanting Reed. Getting Reed opens them up to trading Jose Abreu.

I would not part with Reed as well as those two top prospects. You have to give that guy another couple of months in AAA after what he showed in the spring. He could be the 1B for a dynasty in Houston.

I agree with Shane. Those three should be in the ball park. I might would do a low level raw guy and a mike fiers.

Martes
Tucker
Reed
Fiers
Low A tools prospect

I tend to agree. He looked slow last year but much more adjusted in the spring. There are so many fast rising 19ish year olds in our system I am fine riding out the current rotation right now. Some of them will continue to rise and I think it makes getting a deal done easier in the middle of the year as long as we can get through the first few months with what we have

I am okay with giving up Martes, I love Tucker's game.
