It's dumb because you could play that game with any city, and it makes no sense.

Austin is #1 - Take out UT and that number drops.

Boston is #8 - Take out MIT and Harvard and that number drops.

If you take good things out of a place, it gets worse. If you take bad things out of a place, it gets better. Your argument is pointless.

I don't think UT and MIT define those 2 cities like LSU does Baton Rouge.

Just like Uptown doesn't define New Orleans. If we're talking about dumb statements there's one for you.

Still like 45 spots behind Dallas.

I actually agree with the rankings for the most part.

New Orleans just isn't on the map for us because of the costs of living, crime, and horrible white collar job market.

Defining a city wasn't your argument, never was.

You took something good about BR, and said without it the ranking would drop. So I took something good about New Orleans and said it would drop without it.

You get so defensive about NOLA that you try and make nonsensical arguments to make yourself feel better. It's like clockwork any time NOLA is ever mentioned.

From the looks of the ranking, you'd have to take out what actually defines New Orleans for it to jump in the ranking: Crime, corruption, low wages, etc.

Nope, I took something that defines Baton Rouge.

Uptown doesn't define New Orleans.

You're right, it's defined by crime, corruption, poverty, poor education, oh and good food.

Thank God for that last one or you would have missed the list altogether.

I don't even live in Baton Rouge, so I have nothing to have my jimmies rustled by. Where I live ranked 87 spots higher than where you live, so I'm doing just fine.

I was just surprised at how dumb of a statement you made and wanted to argue. Slow day at work, sue me.

#95 New Orleans

I'm actually surprised that there are only 95 cities in America that have higher QOL rankings than New Orleans.

Actually you have 94 options that are superior to New Orleans....and that's only if you prefer to stay in the US.
