Man I wish. We both make a good salary. But I would be more than happy for her to make double my salary so I could play golf and get day drunk regularly.

im just busting your balls bro...I assume you're young, late 20's early 30's??? Work your arse off now while you have no kids, it gets easier as you get older..even with kids....Im willing to bet if you and your wife are both from Louisiana and still have all your family here, you will both be back down at some point to raise your kids

Yeah I just turned 30 and we're both from Louisiana. If we decide on kids there's a chance we'd move back, and that's about the only thing that would bring us back. All our family is still there.

We wanted to leave Louisiana for at least a while to experience a new place. Really like Boston and looking to buy a house here soon. Would like to live here at least another 5 years.

Yeah, which if she had been offered that job five or six years from now, it'd be a serious consideration. I'd have as easy a time work-wise moving back then as I would now.

Now is just not the right time for us to move back.
