Let's not get carried away with make believe victories:
1.Aranda was hired by Miles and was already here. The extension was good.
2. The LSU job was a big promotion for Canada from Pitt and a huge raise. It was an easy sell; O's first pick was Kiffin, second ?
3. The No. 7 class was No. 5 when Da Caoch O took over. The losses of La. guys to Alabama and others and the periodic uncertainty/ chaos.
The firing of Craig, and reassignment of Juluke, and the replacements look VERY problematic.
Being a great HC means more than being a good recruiter and motivator.

Since O took over he has re-signed Dave Aranda to an extension, hired Matt Canada, and now hired Tommie Robinson who is a total slam dunk hire.

Interested to see if Robinson is recruiting coordinator if title wasn't absorbed by Austin Thomas.

How does a coach turning down an offer display disorganization?

Come on guys, lighten up.

Think about it.

Johnson doesn't need the salary bump going to LSU would give him. Not every body wants a secure financial future.
Why would he want to coach premier athletes when lesser talented guys need his expertise.
Who needs playing in Tiger Stadium with all those people yelling and screaming when you can enjoy the peace and relative quiet of the Liberty Bowl?
Then there is the over rated "prestige" and career enhancement of coaching in the SEC. Really? Do you think it is important? Bah humbug to that. Every body loves the AAC. You can't say that about the SEC.
Don't try to play the "coming home" card LSU is in Baton Rouge, not New Orleans. Nice try but no cigar on that.
Finally you don't need to play at LSU to beat Ole Miss.

Man y'all like to make things up don't you? Ask anyone in America from an outside perspective if what LSU and coach O did isn't miraculous, unheard of. Go ahead because I have and know people on the west coast that are very much impressed. Our own fans aren't though lmao. Shows me everything I need to know about you people.

It doesn't there are just certain people out there dead set on making it hard for coach O in everything he does. They really aren't true LSU fans IMO. Bunch of lil children and really need to be shunned out of here with all the stirring false negativity. That earlier thread about boycotting LSU should be deleted!

I don't guess any posters from here will be at Coach O Day at the Larose Civic Ctr on the 17th. Maybe a few.

I love this team and all of our fans but sometimes...well, I suppose there are some miserable and seriously dense MFrs in every fan base.

He wouldn't want to be around one of the best offensive minds in football?

This is bizarre, right? When was the last time a position coach went on the record about turning down a job from a big school anywhere? Sorta seems to be a poor form. Why would anyone else interview this guy, in the event that he decided to turn the job down and confirm that publicly?

If he did this, then it's very obvious that's not at all bright.

Maybe he thinks he can move up at Memphis. He might have another plan for his career.

Joseph will be up and coming. He is from the West Bank of Jefferson Parish and went through the whole recruitment process with Tom Osborne.
Yes.
