Pretty dick move as you should turn them in sooner or with more frequency. However them not paying you could result in a lawsuit as there is no protocol set in place. But it's only $1200. Don't be a dumb shite and turn them in quarterly

were they from March? be honest
They were a total of 8 months from Jan until Oct. I have no problem being honest on this. I get it, I should turn them in every month. And I will be doing that from now on. My whole issue is that you cant change the way things have always been without making an announcent on said change.
You want to tell me that next year you wont get paid if you do this again, then so be it. But I'll be damned if you arent going to pay me this year just because.

I would just steal $2400 worth of time leaving early for awhile.
I can find waaay more ways to frick a company out of money than they can me.

I mean, how difficult would it be to get people a company credit card?
would you trust someone who can't spell his name with a CC?

How long have you been with the company? Have you waited until the end of the the year to submit all of your expenses for that given year before?
Been with the company for a little over eight years now. Never done this amount before but I typically would always turn in 3-4 months worth at a time. Its never been an issue before.

Wait. You have receipts from January 2016 that you just turned in within the last 4-5 weeks? And you don't understand why that's an issue?
Even if there isn't a set policy in place, your employer probably expects a bit of common sense. You are demonstrating a severe lack of.

I get that.
And just for the record, I did spell my name right.

Well now that you are giving us ALL of the pertinent info, you should be talked with and then paid....this time.

Is this on a company provided card or your personal card?

They're not making shite up. If it's a publicly traded company, I assure you they have rules regarding timely reporting (in addition to basic accounting principles). You broke them.
You obviously didn't forget, either, if you kept stuffing receipts into the same envelope.
What kind of moron holds expenses for a year?

Well no shite. I agree with your boss. You snooze you lose.

If there is a written policy, you have no grounds to stand on. It really doesn't matter if they have been flexible in the past.
This is your fault for not turning them in. It's $1200, you could lose your job over it if they wanted to. Consider yourself lucky.

Sounds like you're about to be damned and fired. You really should take some of the advice in the thread you started and let this go.

This!
Don't you think the bean counters have a lot of year-end close-out to do? Then some jerk turns in year-old expenses.......
As another poster pointed out: How do you do the rest of your job. You just stood out from the crowd and your job performance is being reviewed.
You will learn to never stand out for something stupid.

Our folks 30 days for travel and 90 days for phone reimbursement. Beyond that, we don't reimburse.

That sucks.
Not sure what to say other than your boss sounds like a fricking douche bag and the company is run with a culture of being bunch cheap asses.
Find a new job bro.
