re: I wonder how oppressed women feel

Well, I personally know that $0.70 for every $1 a man makes is very real. My wife's boss ( a man) was forced to retire and she was given his job. Not only was she given his responsibilities, but they told her they were not backfilling her role and she needed to do both responsibilities. Her boss was making $100k. When they gave her the job, they offered her $65K. She's doing more and is responsible for more than her previous manager ever was asked to do.
So, I stand with women on this issue, because we've experienced this in our household and I'm sure many of your wives, sisters, and mothers have experienced it as well.

I do agree with the basic feminist "agenda" that everyone should be treated equally
Do you think that if a man and woman get tipsy and have consentual sex that the woman was raped? Do you think that notion is an example of treating people equally?

Has she been there as long as the other guy?

And why did you say less than 1% of American women was all women?
I said there are crazies and there are ones who did it for the right reasons. You are the one calling all of the american marchers "entitled babies".

So your wife has no idea how to negotiate her salary, signed a contract where she is underpaid, and then blames her own doing on the patriarchy. Just lol

Meanwhile, a large chunk of the ladies marching, have zero problems with Muslims while hating Christians.

But if you don't think a LOT of men control their wives and girlfriends behind closed doors, then you are being willfully ignorant.
Did you know a lot of women are also controlling? This unsubstantiated fear is along the lines of "Obama is going to take your guns"
Your view is so 1950s.

How many wives of men on this message board do you think would never be allowed to march for women's rights?
quote:Yes, I honestly believe that. With an engineering degree, I had no problem getting a job.
As a woman, do you honestly believe you would get equal consideration as a man applying for the same job with the same qualifications?

Here again you paint all these women as selfishly marching for themselves. Don't you think many, if not most, of them realize that the truly oppressed can't march for themselves, so someone has to bring attention to it? Do you really give all women that little credit? Probably so, and you wonder why they march.
