I just purchased a home that has a system installed. Which company has good prices?

Not sure about best prices, but custom security has been good to me with great customer service. I pay $33 a month. I don't have a landline and I have the app where I can arm/disarm/monitor on my phone. I think the app access is $5 extra a month.

Certified. We've had Custom before as well and they're good too.
Anybody but ADT. I sold a house with them once and if the person you sell to doesn't wanna use them, you're on the hook for however long you have left on your contract.

Simplisafe. Used them for a few years now. No issues.
Base unit is cellular (no phone line required). Sensors, keypad and sirens are all wireless and run on batteries (no AC power required except for base unit).
Cost me $25 a month for the monitoring service (no contract), which is optional. Basically means they respond to the alarms and call the police if required.
You have to install it yourself but it is little more than putting the devices where you want and sticking them to the wall with the 3M Command strips that come with each device. Some devices have screw options if needed.
They have a camera option, but I haven't purchased it yet. There appears to be some features lacking with the cameras from what I have read.
Simplisafe has a decent web portal and phone app if you are into it. Also, no contracts which is nice, but you do have to buy the devices up front.

Custom Security. They're local and solid. Always very helpful when needed and good people.

I have ADT with the Pulse system so I have the added benefit of security and home automation together. Yeah, I could have went somewhere else, but I only had a 2 yr contract deal with them since I'm USAA. It hasn't been bad. It can be complex when taking a sensor out of the loop and stuff..but it's not bad.
Integrated security system:
ADT is advertised on the yard sign and implemented inside.
Front door lock is the last means the "bad guy" is protected from me.
2 dogs that are very protective of the house.
Various weapons.

Rhodesian Ridgeback Home Security's "Safe Home Plus" package. It has the added 9mm hollow point feature.

I've looked at this system a little. Seems like it gets pricey up front if you have a lot of windows/doors to monitor. Do you monitor every window of your house, or do you just use a motion sensor?
