After trying both recently, I think Hello Fresh is better than Blue Apron

I realize that these services might not be for everyone, but they fit my situation well.
Anyway, after using both I have noticed that HF appears to provide more food than BA. With HF I can usually get 3 meals out of a single recipe vs 2 for BA. The recipes themselves seem comparable between both companies.
The packaging of HF is a little more manageable, and I like the fact that peeled cloves of garlic are sent vs a raw bunch from BA. The recipe sheets for HF are also a better size for sticking in a cookbook. BA has a better app and website though.
Both plans I have tried are $60 / week for 3 recipes. Considering portion size it works out to about $7 / meal for HF vs $10 / meal for BA.
Just my opinion.

Home Chef has been my favorite out of them that I have tried, but I have paused my account and now preparing my own meals for the week and using a sous vide.

That is the exact same reason I prefer hello fresh over blue apron. However I haven't ordered from either in a while.

Hello Fresh loves them some salmon and couscous.

I find HF instructions are a little more clear & simple, and make you dirty less dishes. BA has more "exotic" ingredients which can be cool to try new things. I have both and just choose which one has better recipes that week.

Why is peeling garlic such a deal-breaker? Just smash the cloves and it becomes super easy to peel.

Never said anything was a deal breaker. I said I prefer one over the other.

Thank you for the information. My wife and I want join one of these services. I love to cook but it's a production and the price is pretty darned good considering what I spend if I go to the grocery store. I also like the portioning both for diet and because I hate leftovers and there wouldn't be any.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Wife and I have been using "Plated" since December. Recipes are kind of Country French in general and have been delicious. We are pretty satisfied so far. It's a bit expensive, but we are trying things we wouldn't normally eat

I find the Hello Fresh meals to be extremely, extremely boring.
The Blue Apron ones are definitely more tasty and have a lot more going on. However as a result, they are slightly more complicated and require a bit more cleanup.

We do Hello Fresh, but we do the Family Plan and its usually better meals as far as easiness to make.

When I was on Home Chef, I used the Sousvide to prepare the meat depending on the recipe.

You have to peel it before using that unless you like garlic husk.
