One major thing with the Obamacare is it put some medical insurance protections in place.

One of those is defining addiction as a disease and receiving medical treatment.

The opioid epidemic is highest in the places that voted for trump, the burned out white, working class towns. If O-care is repealed, what will happen the junkies?

Also, don't think that addiction won't be quickly classified as a pre-existing condition and those people will never be able to get private health insurance.

And how many parents are footing the bill for their pill head kids who aren't 26 yet?

I think when those people who care about the pill heads hear that treatment is going out the window, they'll signal back that o-care remains, at least part of it.

Addiction treatment has been covered by many insurance companies for decades.

Drug addicts are unfit for Trumpmerica. They will be sent to the Trumpcentration camps with the invalids and the gypsies.

Deaths due to addiction have ballooned in recent years; they are higher now than when obamacare was enacted .

This "gotcha" thread is not valid.

You should be more concerned if your OCD mental illness will be covered....

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

He has to have knowledge on some subject at some point. There's still hope, he might nail something at some time. Just because he's o'fer doesn't mean he'll stay in his slump.

If they OD young then they are little to no cost to the rest of us.

Legalize drugs. They are great for removing weak minded people from the gene pool.

The mental health provision is one of 10 "essentials" covered by ObamaCare.

In surveys, the majority of Americans do not want this benefit to be mandated.

Look I get it. I like opioids as well, but no need to melt on here because trump is gonna stop the heroin from pouring over the border.

Let them die. The gene pool needs a good cleansing.

If insurance companies can get what they want, pre existing conditional won't be covered. This is what insurance was like in the 60's, 70's, 80's and probably most of the 90's.

We need to decriminalize all drugs immediately, legalize pot, bring in Kratum, and mandate doctors teach nutrition not pharmaceutical addiction.

Then, addiction will be at the lowest levels in decades.

I support decriminalization of marijuana but it's always interested me that people support decriminalization of other drugs (I assume you mean heroin, methamphethamines, cocaine, crack, synthetic hallucinogens, etc.).

How exactly would this go down? Would the cartels that supply many of these drugs become legitimate business enterprises overnight? Would the drugs be manufactured in an FDA or DEA regulated facility? How would distribution work? These are all important questions.

I don't think those questions really matter at all. If drugs are legalized then the manufacturing and distribution of those drugs will have to meet market demand or those in the industry will get beat by competition willing to meet that demand.

Why does anyone have to explain every facet of how one would bring meth to the market? What makes meth any different that say, alcohol or tennis shoes? People demand it, other make it, others transport it, others sell it on the market. It's simple really.

A lady down the street sells cookies and soap from her house. Takes orders at the 1st of every month, puts that shite on facebook, then mails it to people's house. Easy Peasy my man.
