Any SEC coaches want to go back to the Big 10 region?
Butch? Bert? Sumlin?

Les Miles. This is the best job he can get now.

After a 9 win season
Tracy Claeys started his stint with one of the least-secure contracts in the country, played under an AD that didn't hire him, and ended his season with some very negative publicity. Minnesota did have nine wins, but they beat some really bad teams, though Northwestern is OK. They lost to anyone with a heartbeat.
This was inevitable.

There's been mention of PJ Fleck

What's inventible is that the Gophers will hire a coach like Les Miles or PJ Fleck and beat Wisconsin.

Fleck should wait a year. Could be some much better openings after next season.

I can't see Minnesota beating Wisconsin anytime soon, and I have my doubts that PJ Fleck's salesman approach would work long-term at a "major" college football program, but it would be an upgrade over Tracy Claeys.

Trace Armstrong is probably blowing up minnesotas phone lines right now for les

Mitch Leidner, Minnesota QB, said that he expects a fair-amount of transfers and also had this to say:
Oof.

“No one is happy with the administration right now. I don’t know who would want to be a part of this program at this time.”
Oof.

Fleck or Aranda would be a good get for Minny

I agree that PJ Fleck would be a good-get, but there's not a lot of substance to these mentions. Fleck's name gets tossed out for every job, and while I don't doubt Minnesota's interest, I don't see why Fleck would bolt WMU for the disaster in Minnesota. Fleck can go ahead and dominate the MAC again, potentially take out Michigan State, and have some better options next season.
Additionally, Fleck and was with Tracy Claeys and Jerry Kill at Northern Illinois. I'm not sure the relationship between the three anymore, but I can't imagine talks about Minnesota would be very good.
The below tweets from Brett McMurphy wouldn't instill much confidence into me as a coach:

I expressed in the other thread that I thought the timing was odd for him to be let go, but I totally forgot about the last AD having to resign for being a creep, too.
It sucks for Claeys, but I understand why the AD just wants to clean house after the rape case mess.

There's always talk about players being mad after a firing. How often have you ever seen a "mass exodus" after a coach has been fired? Have you every seen even ten players transfer after a coach has been fired?
Minnesota should go get Les Miles. He bring instant credibility and will soon have Minnesota on top in the Western Division. Wisconsin's academic standing is going down and people would rather play in a real city like Minneapolis instead of Madison.

This is quite the deviation from your typical coaching departure. We'll see.

Minnesota has been making the wrong coaching hirings/firings for the last 50 years. History would disagree with you.

First, according to 247, Minnesota is dead last in B1G recruiting rankings.
Second, Minneapolis is a beautiful city. It's one of my favorites, but no one gives a shite about the Gophers. Madison is another beautiful city that is lauded by numerous publications as the best college town in the country. You think HS recruits would rather flock to a half-full TCF Bank Stadium? Probably not.
Why are you continually bringing up Wisconsin, anyway?

Best case scenario for this team is you only lose the 10 that were suspended by the athletic director. The haven't have a player commit since the story broke 3 weeks ago, dead last in the Big 10 in recruiting. I don't see someone like Miles or Fleck taking that job.
