Wait, is this considered desirable? Sysco food a la Applebee's and Chili's?
Well id rather eat there than at the country club with your 60 year old hermit arse.

How is Terra Bella development ? New Urbanism (focus on walkability, combining commercial / residential, smaller lots but more public space) type development is interesting to watch. Do people seem to like it?

If you are looking for an area with younger families and in the 400 to 600 range, I would look at Natchez Trace off Hwy 21 and also Bedico Creek on 1085. Both would put you in the mandeville school district. If you will be working anywhere by 190 then maybe look in the Northpark area or Versailles. Id recommend going on realtor.com and putting your price range and putting Madisonville, Covington, and also Mandeville in the same search. You'll find alot of really nice houses in your search.

Check out Grande Maison off of Hwy. 59 and I-12. Lots of young families.

It's very nice. My parents are almost finished their build in Terra Bella. They're just about to retire and the feel was what they were looking for. Seems real safe, upscale, and has everything they need real close by.

Woodstone and Fountainbleau subdivision are about the closest for crossing the Causeway.

Totally forgot about River Chase. By the target and Sam's club.
Has a small marina and river access. Gated subdivision. Only three homes in it right now. Will probably take off shortly.
That area is getting a walk ons, its under construction. Has bww across the interstate.
RIP the northshore

What subdivision are you talking about?
There are also some nice subdivisions on Keys Red.

Yea, that neighborhood seems to be doing well. Expensive homes so it isn't filling up too fast

Yup, and there is another terra Bella type neighborhood being developed as well.
They started clearing the land a month or 2 ago. Dog pund road area.

Dog pound road? Not familiar with that. Can you give me another land mark?

This is a good list. Definitely check out Terra Bella. Natchez Trace is very nice too. There's a fun neighborhood across the street from there, Southdown that has a lot of young kiddos.

Harrison Ave. By the Lincoln/Subaru dealer. Across 190 from the Dodge dealer.
They just started clearing, just heard it was supposed to be a terra bella type design.

Stay the hell out of my hood. We have the nicest trailer park in St. Tammany and I be aiming to keep it that way.

We were looking for the same things until we went to visit some friends in Riverwood in Covington. 50 year old houses where all the original owners are moving out. Lots of people who grew up here have moved back. Plenty of families of all ages (babysitters). I've got a 3 and 1 year old. River access. Mandeville high school district. And trees (unlike new developments)

Look along Hwy 22 between madisonville and the parish line with Tangipohoa. Lots of options and your kids go to mandeville schools. Easy access to the interstate to go to Nola or Baton Rouge.

I can't understand everyone keeps saying Natchez Trace. Unless it's a garden home is there much in there for under $600?

Any place you can afford in Mandeville is nice.
