I never thought that Trump had a chance. The whole world was against him and I didn't think that anybody could beat that.

Never, never did I think, write or say he could win. It's better that he did win. Hillary has some kind of mental illness or personality disorder. She is in no way a leader or manager. She's a petty, vicious, soulless thief and liar whose psychological make-up makes her unfit to be the lowest ranking leader in any military service.

HRC is what we in the military call a "toxic leader", which is a misnomer: "toxic non-leader" would be a better way to put it. Hillary as a platoon sgt in combat would end up in a firefight with her own platoon as they tried to kill each other.

I was bursting with patriotism on Election Day, but I was also sorta worried that crooked had already cheated her way to it. After all the smear campaigns and having every bit of media coverage on her side I thought there was a slim chance we could MAGA--but we pulled through

It's been one month and I'm still not tired of winning. These next 4, hopefully 8, years will be magnificent

I started drinking el Présidente around 3 and was good and drunk by the time all the excitement started. What a great night. The melts were fantastic.

I gave it 55/45 Trump based on the Rust Belt strategy. Thought he might have lost Florida for about an hour at one point when he was asking people on the panhandle to go vote, but other than that I thought Trump was likely to win once Comey opened up the investigation again.

The polls never made any sense to me. I knew that many Trump voters would lie to the pollsters because they were afraid of being seemingly openly racist. Michigan I thought for sure he'd win, same with Ohio and Florida. NC I gave him a 60% chance. My eyes throughout the night were solely focused on Pennsylvania. I knew that was the state that would decide the election. Would the eastern part of the state be enough to carry it, or would the center and west go against it. Well we all saw what happened.

And as far as the venue is concerned: went to a watch party at a local music hall. Few hundred in attendence, mostly Hillary supporters. All were celebrating early on but got quiet quickly. I was pretty damn focused the whole time. Got wasted.

I was in a state of unexpectedness all day. As I saw Hillary up early in the swing states after 7, I went up stairs and played guitar. I came back down after 30 mins to an hour and saw he was leading in Florida and NC, so I went back upstairs and continued to play guitar for another 2 hours.

I was so scared that if I quit playing Trump would end up losing, since my guitar playing started his momentum! I then stayed up past the speech.

You could say I'm a little superstitious.

It was a great night, filled with anxiety. The Supreme Court was definitely on my mind.

I started watching the returns around 7:30 PM by surfing several channels, CNN, FOX, MSNBC, FOX Business Channel.

The Hillary channels were giddy and the only Trump channel (FOX Business) was in mourning.

My wife was so disappointed she went to bed early. I stayed up.

Around 10 PM I woke my wife up and said to her, "You're not going to believe this."

When I told her Trump might win, as one swing state after another kept getting called for him, she stayed awake with me until after Trump had been called the winner, with only the Hillary camp refusing to admit it, sending Podesta out to give the non-concession talk to her supporters.

Good times.....

I watch this video at least once a week. And if I walk into work and see one of only a couple of libs that I work with I always greet them with, "sorry to keep you waiting. Complicated business."

Loved reading through this thread

My story starts in late October. My wife and I were in the panhandle of Florida for some r&r and we were completely blown away by the amount of Trump signage. Seemingly every yard had a MAGA yard sign. Most of the local businesses we went to that week gave out yard signs, bumper stickers, etc. for free. I couldn't believe it.

On election day we woke up early and did our duty and voted. My father in law started sending us pictures from the polling station in Trussville, AL. Line stretched out the door, into the parking lot, and around the street. A sea of red MAGA hats chanting Roll Tide/War Eagle, Lock her up, and U-S-A.

Both of these stories are anecdotal but they made me optimistic that middle America was rising up and voting for DJT.

Didn't pay much attention during the work day, but had friends over to our house to watch the results that night. When he stayed close in Virginia I felt confident he would win. I think around this time the NYT tracker started trending prohibitively in favor of DJT.

The rest of the night was a celebration for us. Watching the collective melt at Hillary ground zero was amazing.

I'll never forget:
1. Podesta pulling a Baghdad Bob to send the children home.
2. Van Jones CNN meltdown.
3. DJT's magnanimous victory speech in the early hours of the morning.

Woke up the next day for work and felt like the bizarro world of the last 16 years might be fading away.

I strongly believed that the media was overplaying their hand to create the sense that it was a fait accompli. I also , was shocked and amazed at Wikileaks, Pizza-gate, etc. It was clear to me that the cultural backlash was solidified. Guys on this board were posting about how Wikileaks had not delivered and I felt it was exactly the opposite. I felt like Clinton's karma had finally caught up to her, probably a decade later than it should have.

Still, a part of me was fatalistic. Mrs Pimp was extremely anxious. I was aware of my own anxiety. It was very strange. So I sat down with Mrs. Pimp, we imagined a Clinton victory, and separated how it would effect the country/our kids futures from how it would effect us personally. We agreed to double down on our business and keep the kids focused and that we would just "unplug", not only from the tv and internet, but from the larger culture. We agreed to focus on family and commerce and if we lost to just keep our heads down and focus on things within our control. We agreed to embrace dissident status.

On election day I told Mrs. Pimp that I felt optimistic that the rust belt would save us. I felt the "frick yeah, Trump!" voters might save us as I have them in my own family in western PA, upstate NY and Fl. These are old-school Union Democrat-types and they were engaged for the first time since Reagan. This gave me hope.

I said a silent prayer. I'm agnostic. So it was a very disorganized and un-poetic prayer, probably more like a Buddhist mantra then a proper Christian prayer. I literally said a prayer on my couch, which amused me to no end, turned on my computer and the tv. I was filled with a sense of peace and optimism. I went to the NYT website (absolute money) and spent one of the most joyful evenings of my life. It was obvious to me early that America was in a feisty mood.

I have not been this optimistic about American prospects since the 1990's. I'm just very relieved and happy. And grateful to all those who fought the good fight.

I went to the movies because I couldn't bare to see Hillary elected. That's how sure I was she would be elected.

When I got out of the movie, I begrudgingly checked my phone. To my shock, Trump already had a sizable lead. I couldn't fathom how Trump did it, so I couldn't wait to get home and check the results. I didn't trust the results on my phone.

Needless to say, I was glued to the TV and this board until the wee hours in the morning. Until I saw Trump's victory speech and Clinton's concession speech.

I still come on this board several times a day to watch Libs melt.
