Well, part of his job is to announce the game correctly..instead he gets so worked up over a play only to get it wrong and good ole Brett is there to bail him out.happens way too much in a game

I like Verne and think his haters are lame as shite. For the most part, I think anyone who hates on a broadcaster is lame as shite. None of the heavyweights are so bad that they should actually bother you.

Verne is a sportscasting savant compared to Dizzy Dean and for those of us who remember listening to and watching Dizzy - we loved the guy to the bitter end.
