Almost all college coaches are contracted through signing day. Recall that was Chief's problem leaving for A&M before his contract was up, triggering a buyout obligation.
If we are looking to hire someone who is under contract, we will probably have to wait until then.

Sorry, missed the memo changing NSD till Dec. 4th. If Akers is an EE, that is somewhat different but not to any large extent as there is still more than enough time.
