Guy at work just told me a pretty good story I thought I'd share on here. After the terrible loss to Florida, Coach O had a police escort take him to the McNeese game to watch his boys play.

My buddy was given tickets to a suite in the endzone. Coach O and his wife ended up sitting right by them. Said he was as nice as can be to everyone that came up to him. At halftime, he leaned over the railing yelling down "Go Cowboys" to the team as they walked to the tunnel.

I think it shows the character of the coach we just hired. I'm having mixed feelings like everyone else but this is a guy who just lost a heart breaker. He had to be thinking that he probably just lost the opportunity for his dream job. One of his boys (QB) didn't play and the other (WR) played pretty sparingly. If there was a game to skip and maybe go home and shut everything down, this was it but he showed up.

I would think he's a pretty big piece of shite if he didn't drive a couple hrs to see his child play.

We all know he's a good and likable person. That's probably one of the biggest reasons he can recruit the way he does.

If he can get a good offensive coordinator and keep Aranda, I think things can be stable. Championship level? Who knows. We know he's going to keep talent coming to Baton Rouge. Letting the staff do their jobs while he manages, gives insight, and recruits can be the best way to go.

Well, that definitely makes him qualified to be LSU's head coach.

I'd rather an a-hole workaholic that was so pissed about the loss he watched film all night.

I'd honestly feel better knowing that he went to the game but was obviously distracted and pissed off about the loss.

The OP gives a simple story showing the human side of Coach O & the haters jump right in & start ripping him another new one. I do wonder what all you do in the off season between the end of baseball & the start of football....kicking your dawg around?
