re: Tips on selling your home by owner
Posted by LETSGEAUX2 on 9/6/17 at 3:53 pm
This stuff stresses me out. What if the offer on the house I want to buy is accepted and they want to close before I can sell my house? I need the $ from selling my house as a down payment on the new house.

I assume this is where you find the proper Louisiana contract template to use?
It's a little overwhelming. What the hell are mineral rights?
The thing that's going to get me is when we bought our house, the appraiser measured it to be less than what the seller said it was. Worked out for us because it appraised for less and the seller came down $5,000. But I don't even know the true SF of my house now

Surely by Sunday it'll be open again no?
Thoughts on Astros games this weekend
Posted by LETSGEAUX2 on 8/31/17 at 8:04 am
My family and I have been having tickets to Sunday's game for about a month. I'm glad they're playing back at home this weekend but I'm feeling guilty even thinking about driving in from Lafayette to a city that's gone through so much for my own entertainment. Just looking for some general feedback. Been looking forward to taking my boys to their first game but hate that it's under these terrible conditions. I'm thinking it may be better to donate the tickets and wait til next year.

What do you Houston baws think about the games next weekend? Got plans to go to Astros Friday, LSU Saturday, Astros Sunday. Hoping everyone stays safe and this storm doesn't hover over Houston too long. If it does, I'm gonna be out a lot of money
Transportation tips for before/after the game
Posted by LETSGEAUX2 on 8/23/17 at 3:06 pm
Not familiar with Houston. Will have a group of 3 guys. We are staying just north of 59 (about a 15-20 minute drive). We definitely want to go to the LSU tailgate at Lil Woodrow's before the game.
What should our plan be? Uber to Lil Woodrow's? Is there a train to the stadium? Uber would kill us after the game.
How is parking at Lil Woodrow's? If there's parking, it may be easier to drive everywhere ourselves.

Gameday activities in Houston before game

Just got my tickets to the game. With the late start, what's everyone doing all day Saturday? Any particular restaurants/bars we should check out? Any decent golf courses nearby?

Ok that worked but for some reason a number of files are 'grayed' out in iTunes and won't play. 95% went over fine. Any ideas?
Dumb question - need help with iPhone / iTunes
Posted by LETSGEAUX2 on 8/2/17 at 1:18 pm
Guys, I know this can't be hard. I just bought a new MacBook Air and I'm trying to figure out how to bring all of my music from my iPhone 7 over to iTunes on the new MacBook Air. Can someone post the steps?
My 2 year old broke his arm
Posted by LETSGEAUX2 on 7/12/17 at 9:43 am
It's his humerus bone. Dude is tough. Horseplaying with his brother outside and fell off the swing. I'm a 31 year old "man" and I've cried more than he did.
Waiting to get into Ortho now. Anyone know what kind of recovery process this will be?

Should every man own a suit?
Posted by LETSGEAUX2 on 6/5/17 at 12:15 pm
If so, where is the best place to buy?
I'm going to a wedding in a few weeks and normally I'd wear slacks and a blue jacket but my wife said it's nice to be a big boy and get a suit.

What's the difference between a Pipe Fitter and Boilermaker?
What about Boilermaker "A" and Boilermaker "B"?

For someone very ignorant about the war, what was the war really about if not slavery? I'm not arguing, I'm ignorant.
Also, when people say Lee was a traitor, why do they think this?

Sauce, how much did you pay for your Tacoma?

Is that different/better than the SR5?

I'm open to either and don't really care about the price. However, I would like to hear what the knocks are against the Colorado. I'm genuinely curious.
If we're talking Tacoma, what trim package should I start looking at?

I think I'm set on one of the 2, I just have no need for a full size anymore. I have a Tundra and the way my garage is positioned, I don't even bother trying to park it in there. Having a midsize truck would alleviate that.

But if I don't haul things or go off road for anything, what's the benefit? I'm driving to and from work and occasional things on the weekend.
I've never had a new truck and have been saving so save the just buy old used truck advice.
I've had a Tundra for 6 years and have replaced the AC and 2 alternators. It only has 85,000 miles. Forgive me if I'm open to Chevy.
