We've had a new dog for a few weeks. The rescue group he came from gave a 30 pound bag of Hi Tek naturals. It's hard to find outside of ordering online and it runs about eighty bucks. Looking to find the best quality product in the $40-$50 range . Pics of pup:

Premium dog food is overrated. Just try different things to find what he likes. I use Nature's Recipe. Went through 3 different kinds before landing on this one. $33 per big bag.

Got busted for lying about their ingredients.
After that we switched to wellness core. Amazon carries it so it comes automatically every month.

Blue Buffalo is a fraud.
I don't even care what's in the dogs food, but don't get caught lying to me.

I feed my dog Wellness Core. Switched her from Wellness Complete. She picked out the Core bits and left the Complete in the bowl. Figures since the Core is more expensive

No experience myself, but I've always heard the Kirkland brand at Costco is really good.

On a related note, if there were a zombie apocalypse, would it be safe for humans to eat pet food to survive?

How much are you paying for the Wellness Core?

My sister is a vet. She hates blue buffalo, and uses purina pro plan.

Why not just feed them a raw meat diet at that price?

Not long term, no.

I believe it's around $60 for a 26 pound bag.
