Well, one of the things that most O fanbois love most is that he speaks what he feels, with emotion, and sometimes without a good filter or forethought.

It's entirely possible that he meant to say something different, or say it a different way, but it just came out wrong.

As a person that regularly gets tounge-tied in conversations and messes up speaking the words I meant to say, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and see if he comes back with any reasonable explanation or context for that comment.

For example, he might have meant to say "the defense didn't tackle and execute for four full quarters because they were tired and beat up by the end of the game". But what came out was a little truncated (for whatever reason).

It's the mans first PC in front of an LSU partisan group after a really tough loss to Bama. I'll give him some slack - this time.

By the 4th Qtr, the defense was gassed and flat wore out due to a totally inept QB, OL, offensive game plan, and an offensive staff/HC who could not figure out how to adjust to try something different. Coach Oeaux Neaux just lost some more credibility.

LSU had 7 straight 3 and out or equivalent from the last drive of the first half through the end of the game. Think about that. That is how horrible the offense was from game plan to execution, and Orgeron wants to complain that the defense didn't execute for 4 quarters?

I was honestly someone that wasn't against O as coach if he proved himself, but if he truly said that, he can go F himself and get the hell off this staff entirely.

Wake the frick up and join the real world. Did the offense suck? Hell Yes! The defense did break down in the 4th and they did miss some tackles. That's all he said and there is nothing wrong with it. Again, all you frickers that suck off Saban, do you not realize that he says the same shite?

He's a defensive coach and expects perfection out of his defense.

Sounds like something i want to hear personally

Well if we are waiting on the O to score a single point to to win a game, and hoping the D puts up shutouts... then.... damn

Too funny. On a road trip with wifey and she almost just kicked me out the car for laughing too hard.

Did he also add that 3 players were held on the TD so they couldnt make the tackle?

I think the coach O' hiring issue is going to come down to whether LSU Baton Rouge admins like Cajuns or not. It's all about the Baton Rouge protestant ethos versus the Cajun laissez faire culture. Don't you think for one moment those are not the undertones.

It would be funny if he heaped praise on the offense after making those comments about the defense.

The defense was not the weak link here. They got 2 turnovers and the offense did nothing with them.

The defense was the brightest spot in this game for LSU. Those guys played lights out and then Kiffin made adjustments and created space for Hurts to run or pass and LSU left a lane open on the TD run thanks to a Bama Hold.

Coach O is crazy to complain about the defense. He should be talking about how the OL got man handled and the Offensive play calling did nothing to help Etling or the OL.

It was as if Miles took over play calling and just ran I formation hand off to LF7 for an off-tackle run and then mix in a few 25 yd passes.

There was no rolling Etling out of pocket, no quick slants, no misdirection, no #5 and #7 in back field to mix up the defense.

It was pound it up the middle over and over when it was obvious the OL was outmatched and the LB's will crash down where the Full back goes, knowing LF 7 is going there.

The offense play calling was pathetic and played to Bama's strengths and they made no adjustments in the 2nd half.

That is were the game was lost. CEO is crazy if he thinks the defense lost it. How did the defense lose it when the offense had 0 points.

to be fair...yes the biggest eye sore is the offense but there were a few instances that the defense didnt tackle and gave up some key first downs.

Obviously the game plan was based around getting good field position in overtime and hoping they missed a field goal so we could win 3-0

fricking defense

He's a HC right now, and clearly didn't expect even competency from the offensive side of the ball.

In the end, Coach O proved he has no business being a head coach of LSU. I am sick of hearing him claim he is following "such and such's model and plan". Things don't work that way, and O is simply a guy that clearly can't think for himself. He tries to emulate others rather than bringing out the best in himself. As I said, I was a person willing to defend O on his record that others used to eliminate himself, but the Bama game showed me they were right both with the offensive performance and his behavior.

He can't say that. Not after that game and what Arden Key said afterwards also. Defense kept the game from being a asswhoopin.

And that folks is how you alienate a large chunk of the fan base in one true but misplaced statement.

Yes they didn't execute in the 4th because they were on the field for the entire freaking game.
