I'm getting this as a gift for someone, but don't know any of the good ones because I've never had to use them
What are some of the better ones that have to do with creole/Cajun? I was guessing maybe like Besh/Folse maybe. Anay ideas would be great. Thanks.

The Lsu Rural life place has a cookbook that's very good. All old school cajun/creole recipes.
The Entergy New Orleans cookbook is also good.

honestly, the Better Homes and Gardens New Cook Book is a staple in about every house. if they don't have it, buy it because it has tons of basic recipes that are good for starting to cook.
If they have it, just find a nice colorful specialty book.
