Y'all are right about the refs and bama

We got fricked yesterday in a handful of momentum turning moments. Even with the refs help, we had bama for three quarters until we allowed them that dumb roughing the passer penalty, which was the only legit call all day. Bama is not 19 points better than us.
Our ends were held up all game long, we never got the benefit of PI and they got it all game long.
So for the rest of us, please, beat the hell outta Alabama. They're not invincible and Jalen Hurts is not supernan when he's got a good DL flying in his face.

good to hear this. I think Arranda is going to shut Alabama's offense down after the first quarter. It's just a matter of Etling having success passing on that defense. There are potential mismatches with LSU's recievers and their DB's in LSU's favor. There's also a mismatch nightmare for LSU's Offensive Tackles that will have to block big athletic dlinemen. Etling will be pressured continuously.
You have to be optimistic though with Ensminger running the show now. The offense will be less predictable and better odds of Fournette or Dupre getting loose.

I'm not saying bama wasn't the better team and wouldn't have won eventually, but it would definitely not have been the same outcome.

There was a long stretch, something like 9 games a few years ago, where Bama did not get flagged one time for holding. LSU has been fricked numerous times by bama and frankly the SEC.

I knew ya'll would feel the wrath of the Birmingham SEC officials crew if the game was anywhere close. That's one thing you can count on in the SEC. Sometimes they will try to even up the calls by making calls against bama in games or at times that won't hurt them just to keep up appearances.

Watched that game. They made me sick. Refs ALWAYS wearing that crimson cap.

Yep. They gotta keep the "status quo" by calling penalties against bama in trash time. Otherwise it would be lopsided as hell.

Bama fans would tell you to quit whining because they get as many penalties as everybody else which is almost true, but it's always the timing of the calls and the type/variety of penalties.
Penalties : A&M with 9 for 81 and Bama with 7 for 44
It's not that Bama doesn't get penalized. It's that their penalties are almost always small yardage and very rarely painful. The refs will stare down an Alabama tackle with his arms hooked around your pass rush and not throw his flag, but if your tackle gets a little tug on a jersey on the edge you'll see laundry flying in like a drone strike.
The Bama O-line somehow is immune from holding penalties.
