I just want to point out that if it was so obvious, then why don't any reputable journalists or publications investigate and report on it? Surely they would if it was so obvious. Isn't it kind of crazy that almost primarily LSU fans are the only people that talk so much about it and push it as a truth? This would be a massive story, and if it is so obvious then it'd be super easy to investigate. The only place I ever see any talk of this is on this website.

Let me guess...sports publications are in the bag too?

Maybe our OLine should hold every play and challenge the refs to call it consistently - the LSU crowd would boo them out of the stadium and I would bet by the 3rd quarter we could impose our will on them - only way to beat dirty refs is to play dirty. I say this partly in jest, but it's usually true that a ref doesn't feek comfortable in a hostile stadium calling continual holding on the home team.

That's why Alabama is second to last in college football in penalties against our opponents. You people see what you want to see.

The holding non-calls are always there. I hope Beckwith plasters Hurts arse so hard that his mama hears footsteps for him.

by the letter of the law the bama player that knocked Noil's tooth out in that hit should have been ejected freeze frame the play and he lowered his head and hit the crown of his helmet on Noil's face mask it truly is that simple. But he wasn't and that is the way life goes in the SEC with the gumps in control in Birmingham.

This is why I keep saying they need to move the SEC offices to Atlanta.

There is too much inbreeding in Alabama!

If you look into it a little deeper, you will notice that when Alabama plays cup cakes, or lesser SEC opponents, the refs will call more penalties on Bama than their opponents. Why? Because this allows the refs to grossly favor Bama in the big games without going noticed. They point at the seasonal statistics on penalties vs opponents and they are fairly even. This trend has been going on for several years and is disgraceful.

Y'all are right about the refs and bama
It's every game

THIS! And remember this BS call by Bug Eyes ref? The left foot was questionable if he did not have possession but the right foot was definitely in.

Did you watch the clip just posted? The announcer noted that the ball was not spotted where the zebra's foot mark was. And so much was made of Ritter cheating, Steve Shaw recognized him by promoting him to be the permanent replay official. So he can screw multiple teams every week, and is completely out of sight.

Refs missed calls in both sides in the Bama-Aggy game. And yes, Bama is most certainly 19 points better than Aggy. Be glad Kiffin went idiot mode for the first two RZ trips.

No one is saying refs don't miss calls. Its just that the preponderance of the calls they miss (or Make) greatly favor Bama. It's not just that game, it's every game that matters.

New to the boards and came across this thread.. If there is any doubt about preferential treatment I encourage you to check out the photo gallery below from last year's Iron Bowl. Bama had a lot of trouble putting points on the board in the first half and when it looked like the game was going to come down to the wire the officials let Bama's oline hold at will. It was obvious that a Bama loss and blown chance at SEC representation in the playoffs wasn't an option.

To be cheated by SEC refs in a game with the gumps could be taken as a compliment. It means the SEC refs are afraid you could beat them without their input. In any BIG game the SEC refs will try to bail bama out. We warned you, atm but you had to learn it for yourself.

I wish I could find a certain post from about a year ago.

A guy said his sister-in-law, I believe it was, was not a sports fan at all and went to work in the SEC office. Unprompted, she remarked over and over how everyone there was gump graduates and/or fans, wore red all the time, talked up Alabama, wore Bama colors, etc. etc. This was not just clerical help but higher ups. I wish I had saved the post.

If the original poster is reading this, please post that again.

Maybe Hillary's "wet works" coordinator could change things, but that'd be the only way.

You guys embarrass LSU with all of this stuff about bama getting preference from officials. Did PP intercept the ball, absolutely he did! Go back to Saturday against ole miss, we should have had a late hit on kelly when we hit him in the face mask on a 3rd down play with the game still in question. We got a break. Go back to the 2004 bama game and corey webster had the most blatant no call on PI that I have ever seen. Stop with the whining!!
