I think it is clear now how badly miles abused our talent. 08 burned him badly and then 1/9/12 finished him. He had an impressive death rattle that it didn't bottom out sooner.

I guess that validates the information that Miles supporters often relayed when we had a bad game. "Miles is waiting for hard times to open up the play book.

Finally, they are proven correct.

Just watching LSU's "new" offense is exciting enough... I know the 2 teams LSU beat the last 2 games weren't near SEC caliber but just seeing guys like Guice, Chark and Desean Smith showcase their talent in an offense that now plays to the teams character and not to the head coaches gameplan of 1980's smash mouth football.... to think of all the GREAT talent wasted at LSU the last few years because of a stubborn head coach who refused to change.....it should have happened at the end of last year..... no telling what LSU's record might be right now.... but it is what it is..

I have heard this from men in the know for a long time. 1/9 was just the ultimate example. They ran the frick out of a bunch of plays (like, way too much scrimmage reps in practice) but then never played any of the plays they worked on.

It's like Elmer was actually trying to make them suck.

Something tells me that as time goes by, I'm gonna hate this guy more and more.

Wow! Les obviously was a hell of a salesman to get these kids to come here and not utilize them to their full potential. He did some good things here but it was long over due with his firing.

You think other SEC defensive coordinators are having sleepless nights? The giant has awakened. The genie is out of the bottle. Go Tigers.
P.S. Isn't it amazing how the O-line execution improves when the defense doesn't know the play being run?

Just more confirmation of what we all suspected. So glad we made the move.

I'm so glad this top100 player in the NATION (Rivals, 247 etc.) is getting properly utilized. He's a total mismatch when on the field.

Absolutely! Smith has been on the roster for years, and underutilized. It borders on criminal IRT how LM used TEs. Now, I am always looking for DS on typical run-play down and distances...he will surprise the DEF. I think we are going to use him even more in the upcoming games...if not to throw to, but as an option you better account for thus leaving greater opp's for other WR's, and RB's out of the backfied.

Kind of proves what we all knew....Miles controlled the offense and play calls. What a shame, think of how much better the past LSU teams would have been under Miles had he let the play calling go to the OC. I am not saying that Cam was a great OC but I think he would have open up the offense a little more but hands were tied.

This follows what I had been told by an older ex-player that Miles was losing the team and the players were on the verge of revolt after losing to Auburn

My body is ready for the Empty Set formation against Alabama. Start off with single back 2TE and 2WR set.. then no huddle the shite out of that personnel with 5 empty set. Let's fricking go. Don't give them fatties any room to breathe.
