Trend that needs to stop:

Taking older hit songs and doing a different and always downgraded version of it for a commercial. The ones that I immediately think of are those horrible car commercials where they have a gospel choir redoing "Crazy In Love" by Beyonce and (inexplicably) "Head Over Heels" by the Go Gos.

But there are also the atrocious local commercials like a certain poster from this site redoing "Ecstacy" by Kyper where your wallet smiles and your ears vomit. Also the "You could be driving a Honda" version of La Bamba. I know the guy who did that and he should be ashamed of himself.

I love Led Zeppelin but I hate that song with a passion.

That speaks volumes about you and says nothing about the greatness that is that song. That song gets better every time I hear it.

I hate the one of taking songs and redoing them in this slowed down, ethereal sound for a movie soundtrack

Probably going to get crucified, but "Bobby McGee" and the Cranberries "Zombie"

This girl in a group of friends I used to hang around would sing Bobby McGee" at Karaoke back in the day and the faces she made sticks in my mind to this day.

I always said my idea of Hell would be being stuck in a Clothworld store with "Come On, Eileen" playing in the background.
