Been wanting to try this place but haven't made it yet. Is it any good? What do you recommend?

Fresh Catch or Crispy Catch?

I meant Crispy Catch. Fresh Catch was a place I used to go to as a kid

I would say it is about average. The way I would describe it is like this. I think Cane's does chicken fingers much better than Crispy Catch does fried fish and shrimp. Take that for what its worth.

That place is EXPENSIVE for what you get. I bought lunch there for me and my wife and it was $20+. You're better off going to Tony's or getting a fried catfish plate lunch at Matherne's, Bet-R, Rouses or probably half a dozen gas stations in North Baton Rouge.

I liked their fish tacos. The blueberry lemonade is awesome.
I think it is supposed to be the raising canes of fried catfish. While many have their opinions on canes, you can't say that is a bad business model.

Excellent service, clean, big screen TvS and good food. Thin catfish and shrimp are very good.

So $10-11 a head?
That is far from expensive.

It just seemed expensive for what we got. I dunno....

It is way over priced.
Go get a fried catfish plate from a grocery store. Much cheaper and better with more choices.
ETA: Like timbo said.

I thought it was good. 10-12 bucks a head is accurate. Cheap for me but everything is relative. Half price of Parrain's and better fish.

I've never been but the menu is pretty ho hum. Maybe the fish tacos I would try. I pass all the time and just never stop.

$11 will get you a bullshite Catfish box at Crispy Catch
$16 will get you a huge Catfish plate with Salad, Dirty Rice, Fries, and Hush Puppies at Parrains. ( 3 x as much food and better fish)

It might be better tasting or whatever but they both are farm raised catfish.

I enjoy it very much. Very clean place. Very friendly service. And good food.
Would be better suited for different areas of town that are more conducive to a drive through eatery. I could also see this doing well in Central, DS, Zachary, etc.

I'll take that any day over wild catfish that taste like river-bottom mud.
